Trust me, your blue OLEDs will burn out within 3-4 years. If you're lucky.

As for me, already Nexus Prime VS iPhone 5 in my mind (wallet can support or not lain cerita). And if Nexus Prime really come with HD reso screen, then no contest lar - retina can go die lol.

@maks_pain: Fairly simple really. I'll post a screenshot tut later.

i think the screen burning out is an interesting thing since the smartphones are the rage only in the past 2-3 years.

on normal use, my screen brightness only set at 10% (lowest). so, 5yrs possible?

@dragoon: No idea. Also, correction, it's only been a few years since AMOLED SCREENS came into active use. I mean, the first Samsung phone (yeah Sammie owns the tech) with an AMOLED screen came out 2008/09. So, it's been what, 2-3 years?

Even the Nokia N85, the first AMOLED Nokia, came out 2009/10.

So no idea if it can last 5 years, because even the tech is not that old yet.

@maks_pain:

1) Make a new profile:

2) For the context, select event -> display -> display off

3) Create a new task. Name it if you want.

4) Set up as below:

Wait is under "Tasker" and wifi control is under "Net".

To make it auto on IF you've used it before turning off the screen is gonna be more complex though.

second this...
i find the full brightness of SAMOLED screen to be too harsh for my eyes..
so i had timerific to automate my brightness settings based on time, to have the optimum brightness whenever i'll be (routinely) throughout the day..
the highest brightness i have is only 35% for daytime outdoor, indoor will be 25%, and when im sleeping, it'll be 0%..

with my previous phone, the brightness had to be on 100% most of the time except when i sleep..

Hi bro. Some question to ask.

I learn that flashing rom (other than Litening Rom) will wiped your phone.

What does WIPED means, as in what happen to your phone when its wiped and what data loss?

Try to use Swype. Way faster than numerical keypad or clicking one by one on the qwerty keyboard.

Just found that Google pinyin have the numerical keypad function.

Just a quick question guys, I'm a bit of a newbie to Android so forgive me if I'm being daft.

I'm on a SGS2 from DiGi under smart plan, but the battery life has been abysmal. So I'm going to flash it to the XXKH3 ROM. Obviously, this means I'll lose the Malaysia/DiGi specific CSC. Will this ruin anything, or will it be as simple as just re-entering the APN values?

Thanks.

Nothing much on CSC apart from APN settings. You can manually configured it, and if your SIM card has the info you do not need to do anything at all.

Thanks for the quick response guys, I appreciate it smile.gif

It's been a bit of a bumpy ride since I switched over to the "dark side" (used to have an iPhone tongue.gif) but hopefully this firmware update will get rid of the annoying battery problems.
