As I understand that from woodland need to take a MRT to MacPherson. That the nearest mrt station. Just want to find out are there any bus to travel there after the station.

This is my first time traveling there.

Gothere can list for you for bus routes.
From gothere, I see that they are recommending to alight at Toa Payoh and take the bus from there instead of going to Macpherson.
If you wish to alight at Macpherson, you can type in gothere "Macpherson MRT to 408564"
It is actually walking distance from Macpherson MRT. :S

Anyone owns a Singaporean bank credit card? (POSB/DBS)
Is there any cons to use it in Malaysia compare to using a Malaysia local bank credit card?

When you said this, does it means that you have personally experience all this or just read from the media? I have driven on the Malaysian road for more than 20 years, i have not experience once on the tailgaters or road rage parang and basebal bat wielders.....

Personal experience and from what you read in the papers.

Are you trying to imply that such cases do not happen in Malaysia? rolleyes.gif

Or just use google maps directions. key in where you're from, where you're going to, then choose the 2nd option i.e. public transport. Will show you MRT, which bus to take, what time the bus is scheduled to come, etc etc. Although always use MRT over Bus if possible, cos bus is SLOW. The other day I made a mistake of taking a long bus, on the board show 17km so I thought it's OK, took one whole hour to reach sad.gif

IT line really dominated by Ind and Ph... In fact I had to recruit my staff to be Ph because it's convenient to bridge the gap with the other depts... Among their kind they can get things done,,, quite scary but that's the way the cake is baked these days....

Some Singaporeans fail to realize that a good number of their countrymen (especially of the younger set) are incredibly fussy when it comes to job selection e.g. refuse to work in places like Tuas or Kranji because they are deemed too far and too "ulu", disdain for engineering jobs as they prefer the much better paying banking, consulting and professional legal sectors, shun jobs which have extensive travel or overseas placement for long periods of time and so on.
*
totally agreed. HR feedback to me on this of a candidate was intended to sign the offer letter after offering & they do know the work location at 1st when apply through job advertisement. then the candidate rejected bcos of above reasons that you mentioned especially "Tuas". what is more our company provides engaged free shuttle bus for morning pick up from certain interchange point to office and free bus from office after work.

1 of our singaporean managers also commented himself no more singaporeans at these new generations like his old time able and will take up jobs at plant or just walk under sun for maybe 10-15 minutes. he got no choice but to take foreigners until the quota reach. 2 singaporeans were hired few months ago, the 2nd day leaving without any notice to our HR or inform their supervisor and with taking away PPE and coveralls which were supplied to them on the 1st day of work.

My personal experience for 25 years in Malaysia: tailgaters yes, just stay out of their way. Road rage parang baseball bat wielders No. I've got golf club in my trunk all the time, does that makes me a golf club wielder?  tongue.gif

rclxms.gif thumbup.gif a friend who driving from kl to singapore 1st time for sales also commented same with additional word "idiot", road hogging and switch lane with no signal.

HTML5 is only "superior" because it's an open standard pushed by all the browser vendors in the spec working group.
Since they actually make the engine that runs HTML5 code, they have the biggest say (veto) on what goes into the spec.
Open doesn't necessary means good though.

The good news is maybe we will see simultaneous applications releases on multiple platforms once developers starts adopting HTML5 for non browser applications vs native.
No more exclusive releases or compatibility problems, I hope.
This is if HTML5 performance is even close to native apps which it isn't.
Vendors can purposely make HTML5 applications performance slower on their device to force developers to develop native apps too.

Today we get flash (and Java) for cross platform/browser applications (yes, flash on Apple devices with Adobe AIR).
Wonder how long it will take for flash developers to start re-learning HTML5. There's going to be a gap.
