I doubt it coz most CNY bus tickets are snapped up by now.

I suggest apply leave 2 days earlier. Flight ticket on 18/1 isn't so expensive (YET).

anyone working in audit line singapore here? Is it scolding subordinate is a culture here?

For some people, scolding someone infront of others is a perk to their ego. Its abit of a cultural norm here and it even rubs of on foreigners like us, mild mannered when we initially come and work in singapore, later in life turning to one of the biggest SOB's to rival in LKY.

Interesting, MY education is better than SG in 2011!

past 3 years score for education

country: rank : past score ( 2009,2010,2011)
MY : 46 : (1.17, 0.78, 0.84)
SG : 51 : (3.51,1.43, 0.68)

MY is getting worst but SG is like having a disaster.

New MOE minister is trying to fix some problem, it will take some years to see the result. I personally think MY primary education is better in building up the child. SG school is better at producing number on report card.

I believe the reverse. Msia is building a 'classroom' mentality, Sg is encouraging 'thinking out of the box' .
It's really a disgraced, they can't even decide on what language to use as a medium. Really a laughing stock.

Not a problem, there are many MY private sec school that teach in English, Chinese and BM. In SG, only elite have to take proper BM class.

Not a problem too, they don't work in SG. The earlier post was referring to some Malaysian who work in SG.

No change in my previous employers candidate preference according to my previous colleagues who are still with the company, preference is still work permit burmese since its hard to go cold turkey. Plus their guaranteed to not be able to quit or move to another company in 2 years time lest they face future difficulties with MOM.

Hey guys...I just wanna ask, is it difficult to get a job in Singapore?

I'm an architecture degree fresh grad...
I had sent in a few applications to some companies..

Normally how long for them to reply? Or do they even reply?
