Is there any credit card with no credit limit?my friend now doing MLM and I think he want to show off to attract people to join him, he keep on bragging that Maybank offer him a credit card with no limit....

Tsk ... tsk ... tsk
Then ask him to charge his card and buy a RM300K watch. Then watch whether he got limit or not. If a person brags like that then my opinion not so good lah.

I just published my latest article at my blog targeted at parents who have children going to private school, colleges and universities. Part of the article may still be applicable for those with "big" expenditure.

Again another nice article. I suppose now that you are retired you have ample of time to look into areas where most people miss. In order to retire at your age after being a salaried guy you must have a workable investment strategy.
I enjoy reading your blog and I can see that you are really blessed.

I applied for Standard Chartered Visa Gold ... but the rep said I can only submit 1 source of income. I'm working for a company and also doing my own business, registered with SSM and have Maybank corporate bank statements.

I asked him why can't I submit my work+business income, he said international banks only accept 1 source of income. Is this true?

The problem is if they only accept my work income, my pay will be below RM36,000. If they accept both then it will be higher than RM36,000. I'm worried it will cause problems for me if I were to apply more cards in the future

In the first place, the rule to submit your income documents for credit card applications have existed for many years.
5 years ago - YES
10 years ago - YES
15 years ago - YES
20 years ago - YES and so on

Kiddo ... where got such thing you don't need to submit income documents ? Please get your facts right.
Banks have been lenient all these years with the income documents and BNM steps in and ask banks to strictly enforce it due to problems with easy credit.

May be... may be not. Just wait and see if anyone from SCB calls you or may be those involved will get a letter from their credit card department.

Thank you Sir for reading my articles and I am glad to know that you enjoy reading them. And I can't agree more, I'm lucky and things falling into places just at the right timing. But I will tell you this, go learn about basic technical analysis like moving average if you have not and read articles here and it sure beats reading my articles anyday.

If you submit your Borang BE or B, I don't see any issue. By the way, you apply thru agent or directly at the bank branch or online?

Hi All,

Been using HSBC Gold MasterCard all this while and it doesn't have any cash back for petrol/etc.
Lately I have just change a new job which required me to travel almost 100km daily from home->work->home.
I know there are many CC out there which offer cash back for petrol/household item/etc.

Can someone recommend me the best CC to get in term of the cash back for petrol and household expenses and the cash back is valid at least for few year/forever (not just 1 yr or lesser).
Btw, I'm earning around RM100k a year with car and hse loan which is around 3k for both.

Hope this info is sufficient. Thanks.

today got the 3rd attempt call from RHB CC service to ask me not cancel and retain their CC. They so desperate until they are willing to give me auto AF and GST rebate every year with just any amount of 1 transaction. End up I still reject it although I've been holding their CC for the past 7 yrs. I can't understand that since they are so desperate to retain the cc customer, why don't they put extra effort in their cc by giving better and more attractive offers like MBB, OCBC and etc. As what I see RHB is not less potential local bank like MBB.

Hello,

Between HLB Essential and Fortune CC, which card is better?
I'm only interested to compare cash back, free for life and waiver. Cash advance and balance transfer is of not relevant to me.

1. Are the cash back amount the same?
Essential: 1% unlimited cash back vs Fortune: 1% Real Cash Earnings on your purchases

2. Free for life condition the same
Both twice a month or spend RM8,000 a year

3. Fortune: Earn interest on your Real Cash Earnings
This one needs no withdrawals made from earnings account, and the interest is negligible. So not really attractive.

4. Fortune: Up to RM1,800 extra Real Cash Earnings on your card's anniversary
This one is extra. I hope I didn't misread the website info.

So from the surface look, Fortune is more attractive than Essential?
Then, how come the minimum annual income for Fortune (RM24K) is lower than Essential (RM30K)?
Is there any catch that I'm not aware of? @.@

Thanks a lot.

I chose Essential over Fortune... as the 1% rebate is creditted monthly in the CC statement.
