Hello,
Between HLB Essential and Fortune CC, which card is better? I'm only interested to compare cash back, free for life and waiver. Cash advance and balance transfer is of not relevant to me.
1. Are the cash back amount the same? Essential: 1% unlimited cash back vs Fortune: 1% Real Cash Earnings on your purchases
2. Free for life condition the same Both twice a month or spend RM8,000 a year
3. Fortune: Earn interest on your Real Cash Earnings This one needs no withdrawals made from earnings account, and the interest is negligible. So not really attractive.
4. Fortune: Up to RM1,800 extra Real Cash Earnings on your card's anniversary This one is extra. I hope I didn't misread the website info.
So from the surface look, Fortune is more attractive than Essential? Then, how come the minimum annual income for Fortune (RM24K) is lower than Essential (RM30K)? Is there any catch that I'm not aware of? @.@
Thanks a lot.

Well, I've just read from " Hong Leong Bank Malaysia Fortune Visa Cash Back Credit Card " that: QUOTE What HLB failed to highlight in the above is that the cash back with HLB Fortune Credit Card is capped at RM50 per month. Not only that, in order to get the minimum 1% cash back, you have to spend RM1,000 with it every month. If your transactions amount is less than RM1K per month, you get nothing, nil, zero!!! So I won't be considering the Fortune card. Too bad the minimum annual income for Essential starts at RM30K.

QUOTE(ronnie @ Dec 4 2011, 11:40 AM) Is it true that next week no more applying for credit cards based using IC & >1-year-old CC ? I think now no more already. Even if you use your current CC to apply (even if more than 1 year old), they will still ask for your credit limit.

QUOTE(danlhct @ Dec 4 2011, 08:35 PM) huh?? ask for credit limit or payslip? If you ask them whether can use a current credit card to apply, then they will ask for the credit limit of that card. Of course if you confirm want to apply, then will need to submit payslip and bank statement, unless your salary is credited into that bank.
