This is the way I use. When you put money on it, you will not be lazy to learn about it. The money is your motivation and spirit, sure you may pay it for the lesson. There is no free lesson in this world.

ING and Prudential is specialised in insurances, but they also offer investment linked product, they are still considered as mutual funds.

Try to learn from forum and some books, then put a little bit money into it, then you can learn it very fast. I recommend Public Mutual, as it wins many awards every year. I'm thinking to switch my funds to Public Mutual...

Maybe you can let people know about you're the agent, then ask forumers PM you if interested. As I heard from my friends, Public Mutual agent can get 2.85% commision.

myself using itradecimb...the brokerage is 0.5%

Sorry for bringing month April post here. I'm just reading what was discussed in the past.

From your post,... Now already November... Is this brokerage still at 0.5%? I did came across someone mentioning about the ranges of brokerage, Stamp duty and Clearing fee charges(if not mistaken, the poster is you also...).

Wondering how can I minimise these fees... sweat.gif
I do know that, amount invested of 100k could get lower rate. But I'm talking about looking for better firm to do trading. Anyone know any other sites gave good rate? 0.5% is the least, not? Thanks. icon_question.gif

Yes I'm still paying 0.5%. However, you can negotiate with your dealer freely or upon opening an account.
My friend manage to get 0.42% from both CIMB and HongLeong. That's the lower rate I have heard of so far.

Now the market is quite high, but still got funds that are good to invest. Different market situation can invest in different type of funds.

Not all the funds need minimun initial amount 1k...you have to refer to the prospectus.

HongLeong?! My goodness,... I never got this idea before... my main bank is HongLeong. I would go to my Hong Leong people and ask already. Thank you.

I usually only make phone call to buy and sell, currently using OSK188. Also I knew that if by OSK188 Internet trading is cheaper. But I never try purchase from the net. sweat.gif By the way, I'm in the process in transferring $ from one bank(trading a/c) to another. As the initial bank interest charging rate are much higher than my current target bank.

PS: bank names deliberately not to be mentioned here.

You can choose to settle via internet banking or set-off from your account or even go and pay in person via cheque / cash whatever. I'm sure you'll find one that suits you best. Settlement is at T+3 when buying.
