QUOTE(bigfatant @ Sep 22 2011, 01:53 PM) I think he meant Patco is OEM for Proton. I believe my Waja 1.8 renault has a patco system. Yeah maybe that's what he meant lol. And my mounting I only changed the front and back which is both located on the bottom coz it both tore already lol. The left and right is on the upper part of the engine. Hey need to ask you guys for opinion/info. I asked an auto supplier shop in OUG for the engine mounting for my Waja 1.8 renault. He said, cheap is $210 one set. Just now went to another mechanic (not my normal mechanic in Kuchai Lama), he said like this to replace the engine mountings: Front $80 Rear $80 Left $110 (cheap - expensive $350) Right $110 same Plus labour around $80. So where talking about 380~460 to fix the engine mounting. Would it be normal for there to be so much mark up from what the auto supplier quoted me for the engine mountings? I noticed nightstalker's bill had front and rear engine mountings for $85 each. What did they say about the left and right mountings?? Or do they not have any? QUOTE(mxsteven @ Sep 22 2011, 02:13 PM) pls call our Waja Lowyat member... OI622239OO Kelvin Yeah and it looks quite easy to change the mounting yourself. Just that you need to jack up the car abit lolhe sell spare parts... u can call him and get from him at a better price. |

QUOTE(ThunderGod_Cid @ Sep 22 2011, 12:25 AM) working like imigresen hahahahaa, like that sentence. Idling is a real big problem, that was only few months after installation. The car can even die when change from N to D... Wth... But after went back to the installer few times then got the right idling RPM dy. Because need to achieve a balanced idling RPM to accomodate both gas and petrol settings. When use NGV, idling RPM less than 1000RPM, but when I switch back to petrol, idling is a bit more than 1000RPM. Gotta find the sweet spot so that it is high enough for NGV but low for petrol. So if I use petrol memang minum petrol macam air.do you suffer from sucky idling or dry injectors when using ngv? Now my parents are adjusting theirselves if the idling RPM lari. I was informed that the RPM can easily lari if still insist to press pedal on nearly empty gas tank. The car goes jerk jerk like kehabisan minyak when the gas tank is empty, then I switch to petrol and Voila, I seemed like turbo-ed the 1.6L 4G18 power. I was also informed that if i go for a car battery change, i will need to go back to the installer and retune ECU for free. (Although now closed down dy). But few months ago after I changed the battery, what needs tuning is only adjusting the idling rpm. If not the idling would be very very bad... Is injectors + Spark plugs? Both installer and service foreman claimed that spark plug wore out faster. I didn't ask my parents about spark plugs yet, but last time the spark plug change is like 1.5 years dy. The only problem is the 3rd spark plug cable kept on too excited and jump out only. To maintain those valves, I will sometimes use petrol to lubricate the parts, hope that it wont spoil so fast.. QUOTE(Nightstalker1993 @ Sep 22 2011, 03:36 AM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « a simple comparison ; original proton steering bushes(x2 bush+tier+alignkey style screw) with labour cost around 65. 266 for front rotor is damn expensive. even for an oem bosch. for the price, could get a cross drilled performance disc already. original proton mounting for auto gearbox which is front and rear(mounted to crossmember) cost less than 140 with labour. the way you explained about how the foreman works on your car make 'em more like a newbie. lastly, the stopping power is determined by the amount of caliper and disc size. not old or new. not even performance disc / pad(this combination allowed for less fade thus makes the brake more responsive on frequent usage but it doesn't increased the 'bite' capability). consider going for better tires too. |

I think i'm running on the mixer system after referred some websites. Mine was 4g18 engine so most probably is mixer system. But for now the RPM seems stsble, at least for few months dy... |

hi, can ask is there any guide around on how to open the meter panel to change the bulbs behind? i need to change mine as the left hand side of the panel is not lighting up whereas the right side is alright. I think the bulbs behind need to be change.
Not sure how to dismantle it. Will like to change it myself if able to DIY.. Thanks so much guys. |
