dont treat this thread like a classroom, where teachers are paid to force feed you with knowledge. rather think this as the library, where you can ask the librarian to show you where to get the knowledge.

read my last post above. Lite'ning rom seems new to me. Ask me how to root and how things are done with CWM and I can tell you how. The lite'ning process is new to me, Im used to the old standard rom flashing with CWM for I had only thought of getting a Nex-S, but when things turns out the other way, I decided that I have the budget for a SGS2.

At least reciprocate by making some personal efforts to learn and no need to be nasty after people already help you. It is people like yourself that shouldn't be helped coz you think it is your right to receive the help. You think people should help you just because you ask. What a wrong mentality you have here.

How do you think people here learn ... it is via making mistakes and learning from them. Keyword is also goodwill ... they are not being paid so you shouldn't expect level of service as if you pay them. If you offer money then it is a different story ... but you expect a free help to be so high quality.

If there's a mismatch between what you expect and what you receive here then perhaps you need to Google elsewhere coz obviously our answers are not up to your high expectations. Goodness ... what is the world turning to these days.

I wonder why too many ppl need to be spoonfed these days..i read a few pages this morning and got a few ppl asking the same question over and over again, although the steps and instruction is very obvious. Its as if they do not read it at all. Im amazed. Some dont even finish exploring basic function of the smartphone yet already thinking to flash custom roms. Step by step ppl, step by step. Or maybe those having difficulties understanding simple english could request instructions in your preferred language? Im happy to help if you are willing to help yourself first.

i have to agree he whines too much. i know there were stupid question, but just ignore them and move on to questions that never been asked before.

if senior ppl whines too much i believe people with genuine unanswered question will be driven away. very much defeats the purpose of sharing useful information.

i am voting for a noob thread just to ask plain stupid question, ie what is rom, which version does this and that etc. maybe ppl with much time to spare can help there. being too elitist will not help much, right?

Look, Im not being nasty... I was just wondering.. why does he have to answer me like that. The litening rom post was my first post on this thread, and then I discovered that slapshock has been asking the same question over and over again. I did not know what was going on.The first page is all i ever read has been done ever since v9 over and over again until I found the right way to do it. I have no problem understanding his guide, i was just curious on the process of lite'ning's rom. And all I need was clarification.

Try it out first. Else you have to wait for somebody to extract it out for you.

according to the reviews it does save battery juice. Also the point of the app is it further reduces the brightness.. because even u put minimum brightness it is still too bright. after using this app u still have to adjust ur brightness manually...

Previously, when i press VOLUME UP/HOME/POWER

it will boot and bring me to the CWM options which the text in orange, but now not anymore instead it goes to ANDROID SYSTEM RECOVERY <3E>, reboot system now and clear/wipe data etc, wipe cache partition

why is that so?
