Stock firmware? Kindly inform the version.

Kernal version: 2.6.35.7-I9100XWKF3-CL276555 root@DELL101 #2

already root using CF-Root

I assume you just need the KF3, right?

Hi, just notice your reply.

Downloaded. Going to try now. Should work on any firmware right?

Try it out first. Else you have to wait for somebody to extract it out for you.

I had my phone flash to the CF-Root (KF3). When I tried to make a backup on ROM Manager, the infamous "E: failed to verify whole-file signature" happen on me. After searching a while for answer, I find most of the people who encounter this are trying to flash to a custom ROM. For my case I just want to make a backup of the stock ROM. What's the possible reason for causing this?

@destEX + @benny888,

I see. I thought that I can backup with CWM manager (the 1 that comes with CF-root) to backup, but it does nothing after tapping the backup button. So I thought I should backup with ROM Manager.

Looks like I am clear now and learned something important. Thanks! rclxms.gif

Hi,

Definitely will try them all when I am really sure that I know what am doing. Still new ATM.

One question: I am running on KF3 firmware, is it alright to flash to custom ROM with different firmware (e.g. KG6)?
