rclxms.gif Thanks for your suggestion. I know there will be no best credit card. I just do not want to select the wrong card issuer to use with. I will try to apply for it. Is it the best to apply two bank at the same time?

it is up to your choice
just pick on the one that benefit you the most tongue.gif
you can considered between mbb2 card and uob one card
if weekend spend more mbb is beneficial if the merchant you are visiting accepting amex (5% +5X TP)
for uob card selected merchant will reward you with smart cash

Well, the cards you are considering are good enough for you.
Fine dining and shopping use Maybakard 2 Cards.
Petrol, Utilities get OCBC Titaium MasterCard where you'll get 5% cash back.

As for LCCT, there's no cash back card offering free access to airport lounge. Click here to read what cards offer free access to LCCT Plaza Premium airport lounge. You'll note that there are two Debit cards that grant you free access to LCCT and also earns you cash back.

If you want cash back and access to KLIA Plaza Premium Lounge then the card to get is Alliance Platinum Credit Card. Goto to airport access thread for more info.

Maybankard 2 Cards you'' get 5X TP which is way better than your UOB VOX and also cash back up to RM50/month. Easy approval, well if you have the necessary documents to proof your income and your credit history is good, any card also easy to get.

1. Annual Income: RM 80k
2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Must.
3. Card required for: Petrol (BHP, my nearby branch don't accept AMEX), online payment which dun accept AMEX as autodebit (insurance premium etc)
4. Existing credit cards if any: MBB 2 Platinum, HLB Essential
5. Preferred Bank or Considering CC from banks: Anything better which than HLB Essential 1% unlimited cash rebates, plan to cancel this card. MBB Mastercard 1x treatpoint not attractive enough when AMEX not being accepted.
6. Others: Not able to get OCBC Titanium Mastercard as I was told they are very strict with new applicant (I got my first credit card early of the year, Standard Chartered and OCBC said my record was too CLEAN to begin with)
7. Estimated Spending per month with the card: RM1k to 2k

BHP - get UOB One Card and earn 2$ SMART$ cash + BHP points 0.9% + 5% from UOB One Card, check out Petrol thread BUT downside insurance only 0.3% So compare it with HLB essential and see the diff. If not mistaken, HLB Essential no cash back for petrol.

Also check out the following articles im my blog.

Best Credit Card in Malaysia for Petrol and Movies
Revamped UOB One Card - It's A Pure Cash Back Credit Card. In this artilce I did a table to compared the difference in cash back from various cards.

Since you say your record is clean (and subjected that you can prove your income) why don't you write an appeal to OCBC, nothing to loose but 5% cash back to gain for Petrol and dining and utilities smile.gif There is no such thing as too clean record. Maybe it has something to do with other criteria like your nature of work.

i'm afraid that's the case
your only option would be debit card
CC application require at least 2-3 month of salary slip
or else you can try ur luck at maybank 1 U centre said to be ready within 1 hour

Maybe I shall an appeal letter to OCBC back then.
I paid my income tax, class 2 occupation. I should be very much qualified but they already rejected my application twice. rclxub.gif

Again, I dun really need more than RM600/month for petrol, UOB might fit the bill if I can't get OCBC.
HLB essential 1% might seem very little but since with unlimited cash back, it might come good if I use up my MBB2/UOB monthly cap.

For your case, get the card that is most convenient to make payment, i.e. the bank you bank with.
