If you do indeed spend RM1K and above, you'll need 2 cards to optimize your returns.

First thing to do is go convert your MBB Gold to Maybankard 2 Cards Platinum where you can get cash back and complimentary golf green fees at 14 selected clubs in Malaysia. Go to MBB site for more details on the golf clubs.

As for Airmiles, I don't think is worth the time if you don't consistently spend RM5K and above. I keep repeating in all the posts you guys got to decide you want airmiles or cash back only as you can't get both. Some cards allow you to convert your points to Enrich points but I think you'll get better returns when you redeem for cash vouchers.

If you really want airmiles, go look into Citibank PremierMiles, 1st year free, second year I don't know, you got to request. And if you really fly a lot, get MBB World MasterCard where you can earn 5X Airmiles but the card is not free. You have eliminated both these cards when you stated Free Lifetime Annual Fee as a must.

For petrol, click here to read my article titled The Best Credit Card in Malaysia for Petrol and Movies. YOu can either get UOB or OCBC Titanium MasterCard where you can earn 5% cash back at ALL PEtrol Station. If you pump at BHP, get the UOB One Card. Also check out Petrol thread by clicking here.

So your combination should be of Maybankard 2 Platinum Cards and UOB One Card/OCBC Titanium MasterCard where all three card gives you cash back, Free Annual Fees with or without conditions. For free green fees MBB 2 Plat and lowest overseas conversion rate with MBB 2 Visa or MasterCard.

If you really into golf, the CIMB WorldMaster card do offer complimentary green fees for clubs in Singapore and Indonesia. Click here to CIMB site)

If you have the time, read my article titled Earn Pocket Money with Credit Cards by clicking here. I have given examples on how to optimize returns with different spending patterns.

Since you gave so little info, hard to tell.

Yes if you can proof your income, good if you got submit Income Tax form. If your income is like from rental and dividends amounting to more than RM30K, you should have declared it to IRB. If income of RM50K is from interest from FD, then no need inform IRB and submit forms but you would have a pre-approved credit card from the banks by now. If your income if from overseas, wish you good luck in your application.

I've got like 4k TNB bills to pay monthly, at the moment to my knowledge only Citibank allows me to pay via their online bill payment for bills which are over 1k. Citibank reward points and Cash back is just not worth it compared to OCBC Titanium or Maybankcard.

is there any other better option to squeeze the most out of this?

I glanced few times to double checked if it was really fruitie that posted here laugh.gif

I think you should get the OCBC Ti. Probably the best card to go with M2C. It does not really have attractive installment plans but for you have Maybank for that.

Before getting the Ti, I used to wait till the weekend to swipe everything. I even pumped RM 5 before on a Friday just to bring me home and pump full tank on a Saturday. (tallking about kiasuness doh.gif ) But since I gotten the Ti, I alternate those cards between weekdays and weekends and I think it is working quite well so far.

For groceries and petrol get OCBC Titanium MasterCard. Get 5% cash back for Dining and Telco bills too.

For installment plans, your MBB Visa should be adequate since the list of merchants offering 0% with MBB cards is pretty long.

laugh.gif Why is it a surprise to see me here? tongue.gif tongue.gif

Thanks, I should really look into OCBC Ti. biggrin.gif

I actually spend more during weekdays and tend to rest during weekends, actually I didn't really have the opportunity to utilise my AmEx weekend cash rebate. sad.gif

For up to RM1K, definitely OCBC Titanium MasterCard if for Petrol (except BHP), Groceries, Dining and Utility Bills. Credit limit > 5K useless with this card.

Recommend you read my articles:

Earn Pocket Money with Credit Cards. In this article I have scenarios on what card gives better returns for different spending pattern.

REvamp UOB One Card - It's A Pure Cash Back Card. There's a comparison table of different cash back cards for easy reference.

Thanks for the input. Yeah, after reading the comparison made by Gen-X, I can say I'm bought for the OCBC Ti.
Perfect card to pair up with my M2GC. biggrin.gif

Not forgetting UOB One Card's Platinum annual fees is so freaking expensive. sweat.gif
