1. Annual Income: RM24k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Preferred

3. Card required for: Petrol Cash Back/Rebate, Touch and Go, Groceries

4. Existing credit cards if any: HSBC Amanah Gold Visa

5. Considering CC from banks: Maybank 2 Card and OCBC Titanium.

6. Estimated Spending per month with the card: Roughly 1k to 1.5k

Would like to have a touch and go zing card as it has auto reload but wondering if we could apply these cards seperately and link them to our credit cards.

I already have a Visa hence looking for a Mastercard now and stuck between both MBB and OCBC as they are both so good laugh.gif

try Maybankard 2 Cards first as OCBC TMB annual income RM36K. You can get a TnGo card and link/auto debit to any Visa or MasterCard account.

true, but like I said try and if can get best loh. And in moyang's case, he mentioned he got CIMB card more than a year in CIMB thread (but here he did not mentioned??), so maybe MBB can consider his CCRIS records for his application. And we know MBB wants 500K new Maybankard 2 card holders tongue.gif

1. Annual Income: RM30K to RM36K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: no

3. Card required for: Hotel when travel for work, which is seldom actually or emergency when couldnt find atm, etc.

4. Existing credit cards if any: Nil

5. Preferred Bank or Considering CC from banks: As long as convenient to pay. I have account with CIMB and Maybank though.

6. Others: prefer not to pay the govt tax

7. Estimated Spending per month with the card: Less than RM1K

Btw, I actually wanted to apply for CIMB's Direct access visa gold for graduate, but check out their website, no gold card offer anymore. Is it Direct Access only cater to high flyers now? sad.gif

Thanks.

Added on April 25, 2011, 2:09 pmsorry, correction for no. 2. Free lifetime annual fee is a MUST!

Instead of applying for Direct Access, apply for CIMB cards. Same promotions and you wouldn't be in a situation trying to explain to merchant's staff that DA is CIMB. And apply for the Maybankard 2 Cards.

Click here to read my article on Maybankard 2 Cards.

Click here to read about CIMB credit card promotions and see if it benefit you.

I didn't mention my CIMB card because it is just a silver card with RM3,000 limit....i applied my HSBC gold Visa card when i was only earning 1.8k/month and it was approved.

So im guessing MBB will approve the Maybank 2 Card gold.... im not giving high hopes for platinum laugh.gif

Well, there is no such thing as freedom from credit cards but benefits yes. Apply Maybankard 2 Cards where you get 5X points and 5% cash back on weekends. The Maybankard 2 Visa or Amex can be useful if you purchase stuff online as the conversion rate is the lowest amongst other credit cards.

Since you are new, click here and read 1st post.

Also click here on ways to pay your credit cards.

And click here to read my very first post at my blog on credit cards - CC 101.

If you want a CIMB card, click here to check out CIMB promotions and see if they benefit you. Please note CIMB cards you get nothing for Petrol except for their Petronas card.
