QUOTE(Isepunye @ Jul 29 2011, 07:57 PM) nice lens u using. im just using 116 for wide and takumar 200mm F5.6 for tele Thank you. I invested in good lenses since 6 years ago and still keep them till today. I change bodies over time and from what I can tell, the D90 is lightspeed ahead of the D70 by today's standards.QUOTE(Redcross @ Jul 29 2011, 11:47 PM) Today's photoshoot I'm no expert on studio shoots but that looks like the lighting too harsh on the model? Shadows are also hard and not soft and pushing the saturation high makes the shadows end up with no details. Might be better if you set Picture control to neutral.1st successful strobing session..... » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Aperture? Shutter speed? The D90 plastic screen (BM 10) is about RM 60 or so. Perhaps get a GGS screen protector? |

Sorry its not about settings, its probably post production in LR, someone in Canon Thread point out that i use abit too much clarity to the zero side causing the skin to look plenty of details lost Aperture? Shutter speed? What camera settings did you end up with? btw there is no edits in any saturation etc. I juz boost the exposure 2/3 stops only and skin retouching in LR picture is shot in RAW, so picture control those not effect anything took note from that post and will not use it overdone next time This post has been edited by Redcross: Jul 30 2011, 10:46 PM |

I don't really have a choice between 35mm or 50mm, as the 50mm was already bought by my dad. However due to it's focal length it could be a hassle sometimes..

On Dx body, for the focal range the 35mm is better for walk-around lens..
In terms of sharpness, bokeh, etc then its sometimes personal.. For portraiture then focal length 50mm is better, most people have this lens.. 50mm versions: f1.8D, f1.8G, f1.4D, f1.4G 35mm versions: f1.8G Add more cause these are the ones I know/tried.. Best choice? It depends on u. Try both and see which one u're comfortable.. (Focal length, sharpness, bokeh, user friendly etc) |
