QUOTE(vearn27 @ Jul 26 2011, 04:55 PM) What's the expectation? Would we be seeing D700's replacement sooner or probably D3 and D300s replacement as within expectation following their trend? >>> Nikon's Announcement @ August 24th <<< Nikon's own mirrorless maybe? Am also interested with the D700 replacement. It's been 3 years!

QUOTE(Everdying @ Jul 26 2011, 06:49 PM) i thought the EVIL will most probably come with a DX sensor? Nope. http://nikonrumors.com/2011/07/22/the-pict...t-is-real.aspx/Different mount + smaller sensor

perhaps that's not what nikon had in mind. maybe it's to combat Leica in terms of mobility or something like that. Nikon hasn't been particularly good in portability before

You always have to multiply by 1.5 when converting to DX, not divide. Hence FX cannot be longer than DX.

QUOTE(yanhui95 @ Aug 1 2011, 12:25 PM) Hello, can you guys recommend me a budget mic for d7000 please? Thanks There's the Nikon ME-1. It's small and considerably cheap. You get what you pay for however, it's nowhere as good as those RODE mics but still it's cheaper.

QUOTE(eugene88 @ Aug 6 2011, 10:44 PM) A review said "The D7000's video is awful for general family use. It can't focus worth a darn, and you'll hear the lens painfully trying to focus in your audio." True? Not when you focus manually lol
