QUOTE(tailtwist @ Jul 19 2011, 03:58 PM) if wanna withdraw your CPF money as a PR, he/she wont be able to revert back to EP or whatever work passes.....the singapore government will not allow you to work in SG anymore in his/her lifetime. Thats what i suspect too. He needs to leave SG inorder to get the total amount. Another thing is getting the EP itself, chances to getting it back is low considering the current situation. Having said that he does not need to contribute that monthly 1k for CPF which helps alot financially. |

Better think of plan B such as part-time jobs , sell car, down size hdb for extra cash. |

I thought even for M'sians, need to be 50years old only can renounce PR & withdraw CPF?
sos: http://mycpf.cpf.gov.sg/CPF/my-cpf/Overseas/LivO9.htm QUOTE You may withdraw your CPF in full if you satisfy all the following conditions: 1. You do not hold a valid Singapore Work Permit/Employment Pass or have renounced your Singapore Permanent Residency; and 2. You are: a) 55 years old or above, or b) below 55 years old but above 50 and have not worked in Singapore in the two years before your application, or c) physically or mentally incapacitated from ever continuing in any employment or found to be of unsound mind. At least if he reverts back to EP he saves on the 1k contribution monthly , is that correct ?QUOTE(r1v3r @ Jul 19 2011, 04:21 PM) Not easy to get cpf money out. BUT i've heard back then before Singapore GE...that someone when wanted to renew his/her PR...got rejected and was given EP to continue on. Again that's what I heard...You see there is not plan B for ppl like him . Have you heard of RWS and MBS ? HIs problems are irreversible haha. The only logical solution for him is to leave SG. XD I don't really 100% understand what you're trying to say. The limitation is that WP holders not allowed to marry Singaporeans unless got government approval. [edit] sos: http://www.mom.gov.sg/Documents/services-f...sConditions.pdf QUOTE 8. The foreign employee shall not go through any form of marriage or apply to marry under any law, religion, custom or usage with a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident in or outside Singapore, without the prior approval of the Controller, while the foreign employee holds a Work Permit, and also after the foreign employee’s Work Permit has expired or has been cancelled or revoked. 9. If the foreign employee is a female foreign employee, the foreign employee shall not become pregnant or deliver any child in Singapore during and after the validity period of her Work Permit, unless she is a Work Permit holder who is already married to a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident with the approval of the Controller. At least if he reverts back to EP he saves on the 1k contribution monthly , is that correct ? Why MBS and RWS got anything to do with him need to downgrade his PR?? U mean he went there and gamble and lost lots of money? So, he must leave singapore to stay away from the 2 casinos? First, you can apply ban on him to enter the casino. Therefore he cannot enter the casino and no need to gamble away with the $$$, but there is always singpool, bookies and casino ship around. Even if he gives up his PR, he return to Malaysia, but there is also a Casino on the top of the mountain which he can goes everyday. No need to pay levy. You see there is not plan B for ppl like him . Have you heard of RWS and MBS ? HIs problems are irreversible haha. The only logical solution for him is to leave SG. I think the best way is to remain in Singapore and apply a ban to enter the casino, in Singapore, at least he still earning a decent SGD$$$ to pay off his debts. If leaving Singapore, can he make as much $$$ as he can make if he is in Singapore? Also, if in KL, he will still lure to visit the Shaolin Temple aka Genting Highland. Unless he goes to Sarawak/Sabah/Brunei where dont have casino. |

Anyone know what are the minimum requirements to apply for PR in Singapore? My girl friend's application got rejected recently. She's holding P2 pass and has been working in Singapore for 1 year 1 month when she applied for it. 2nd company in Singapore.
