Any specific question the officer will ask during the interview session ?

- for the PR application
*
No interview for PR application, only appointment to submit document and appointment to complete formalities. Both appointment should be less than an hour.

i also dunno, my friend applied 3rd time already, she just confirmed with me that all documents needs to be in english  sweat.gif
definitely wink.gif

According to the Explanatory notes "The originals and a photocopy of each of the following items are required. Official translations are required if they are not in English. Original documents will be returned immediately after sighting." So better be safe, and get it done. U have to wait for 6 months to know ur result, why wana risk it because of small matter. Otherwise, u can reschedule ur PR application appointment. But dun reschedule more than twice.

i just read a bit further down. that case was a bit different.
what happened was the wife herself is a 2nd generation PR, cos her father was the 1st generation.
Hence, the 2nd generation pR's husband would logically be a 2nd generation PR.
Something to learn here, for your next generation.

talking about applying PR, which i over heard sometimes ago, if you're applying PR for your spouse as dependent, then your spouse cannot be holding employment pass/ working at singapore, do you guys want to get clarification for that before going to appointment for submitting document?

Why don't you both apply separately? Whichever one gets it, sponsors the other one.

apply seperately is fine, but when you come to applying dependent pass for your spouse, your spouse cannot be holding any sort of employment pass until the dependent pass is granted... so... it happen to someone i know, but i can't be 100% sure about this since i'm not the one that find out this... but for your consideration

1) have never heard of the case that the spouse cannot have EP.

2)thought of applying separately also, but either way being a PR makes him liable for NS even as a dependent or not right?

3) but on the other hand, maybe* there's an advantage for newly weds to apply for PR also??

It seems that spouse in the form means wife and husband is not applicable. sweat.gif sweat.gif

not easy to obtain the certificates of eligibility. Once you announced you are interested the media will dig out all your past.

1. As mentioned, not 100% sure, but it happen so it worth your effort to call and clarify...haha.. The scenario that i encounter might be slightly different, it's like PR A married foreigner B and ROM at sg, hence it's different. I think 2 employment pass holder apply PR seperately make sense, but i think you would have problem by applying dependent pass.

2. It's good to apply seperately, the dependent is depend on the main applicant, if the PR status of main applicant void, so do dependent.

3. You need to work for ICA to say this. Basically non-disclosure.

I would agree to a certain extend...here's my thought on this
Girls/women would have start working earlier..due to guys having to serve 2 years NS....
By the time the guy starts working.......the women would have some 'spending power' already.....plus with those few years of working experience in her pocket compared to a guy of her age.

Got a few of my colleagues/ex-colleagues/church members....husband is Singaporean...but wife from across the Causeway....
I've so far only come across 1 couple....wife is Singaporean but husband across the Causeway
