QUOTE(perkinsonline @ Jul 27 2011, 04:37 PM) I checked about 18-19km from the causeway....please dont stay in jb and work in sg...the transit time will take u like 2 hours minimum and the driving stress is no fun....but then again staying in sg also no fun....but stay in sg is easier....aiya both also got + and - just depends which way u see it The best is your office provide a room for you to stay in the office so that when you wake up, you can just walk to your work station.

My office is in AMK industrial area. from causeway to my office, its only 13 mins riding. if seletar, i think 20 mins is more than enough. If u stay in JB near town, u can leave home around 8am if u start work at 9am. definitely can make it and if u look at it, its better than staying in SG because to get to Seletar airport by public transport, it take almost the same time. (assuming u stay near Yishun or Sembawang area)

For account opening, most POSB/DBS requires the card, or at least an appointment. However, there are some that allows just with IPA, can't remember which one.

QUOTE(francisbacon7 @ Jul 27 2011, 08:28 PM) Anyone knw about the medical check up?does it check on the lungs and whether u are a smoker or not? It's an immigration check for communicable or contagious diseases since you'll be staying long term in Sg. It's not an assessment of your health status like the normal pre-employment health check for group insurance purposes.

QUOTE(francisbacon7 @ Jul 27 2011, 08:55 PM) what is TB? The chest Xray test is to detect Pulmonary tuberculosis (TB). I did not know that they will reject your application if you are a smoker.
