You can just stay at those travellers lodges around CBD/bugis. Not very expensive. Anyway there is a place across City Square RM50 a night. Looks dodgy but you get a bed and hot shower plus aircon and at night you can see hookers from your window.

I just got a iPhone from M1. When I tried popping in my digi sim card, it says no service. I seriously hope I didnt get a locked iPhone 4

If you're on postpaid you need to call Digi and activate roaming first.

anybody can share experience working at tuas and staying at Gelang Patah? How long is the average commute like, and are there occasional jams at customs side when going home? Silly new thumbprint scanner can ruin a perfectly good day.

Asking as I am considering to move there and get my own foreveralone place.

How about going Bangladesh as their bangladeshi dont want to work as restorant helper as all flock to MAlaysia liao and so lots of vacancy there.... laugh.gif

In Sabah, particulary KK, the living expenses is pretty high and is almost on par like KL but salary still remain low...People from Sabah cant wait to get out and you want to go there pula. May be you can consider working inside those palm oil plantation.

Hi guys,

For you guys who travel often from SG-KL-SG, which flight you guys recommend? I only need the cheapest flight.

The pro and cons:-

1) AirAsia (can save u convienient fee as you can pay via Maybank2u)
2) Tiger Airways (the cheapest sometimes but cannot use maybank2u, charge u convienient fee)
3) JetStar (the most comfortable but cannot use maybank2u, charge u convienient fee)
4) Firefly (not convienient bcos near arrive in Subang)
*
So far the only convenience fee I am able to skip is Jetstar paying via SAM machine. Air Asia, Tiger etc all will kena convenience fee even if you pay using Maybank2u.

Today Internet rate is 2.48+ but money changer only offer 2.44.  As expected. The demand is high during festive time and it did drive down the exchange rate at the money changer counter even when the Internet rate is getting better.

Any idea how to get >2.46 now?
*
Check bank rates. Sometimes they are higher than money changer, especially during festive season. Therefore you save the hassle and get better rate as well.
