QUOTE(kepalapening @ Jul 25 2012, 07:09 PM) So, wait till M'sian gov ... I think we cant wait, given how our government works. If we wait, it will never happen. We need to push for it to happen. We start by creating awareness and getting people influential in the industry like Paultan to help push for it. Hopefully, someday such a bill gets passed. We need to make sure car makers no longer take us for granted.

QUOTE(stix @ Jul 25 2012, 12:41 AM) you are taking cars beyond or about 20 years as comparison a new E90 wouldn't suffer much, probably 10-15% a year, more on the first. i sold off my dad's '99 SLK which was passed down to me for a round 110k two years ago. as for audi, i have no experience in selling em, since my current ride is my first 'outcast' german lol. Yeah... i lazy to do the math... Kinda funny....haha... outcast german.... FOr me, what's good is worth it to be considered, provided i can afford it la...haha

Imagine how much Toyota will jack up the price if it were to include VSC and other luxury specs.

It's really UMW in regards to pricing as I believe they dictate how much the car is sold for. They can price it however they like, it doesn't necessarily mean people will buy it

Does it need the people really own a rolls to tell the tales? yes / no? I see alot people only complain no VSC and high price for Camry. guess it only 2 turn back. QUOTE(Jintex @ Jul 26 2012, 05:46 PM) Test drove the NEW camry 2.0 recently.Didnt expect much as it was just a 2.0 with 4 speed gearbox. But once i step in,you can feel the quality in the cabin.Really good feel to it.Everything felt solid and was placed where it was meant to be.Then i proceded to the drive. To be honest,I didnt expect the 2.0 engine to be good. But it was damn good for a 2.0.In fact power was above expectations. It was only a 2.0 on paper with low HP on paper but when driving the car,it felt much more powerful than that.Pickup was excellent!Besides i drove up to 120kmh and you couldnt tell it was a 4 speed because it was just so smooth and u could hardly hear the engine roar.Sound insulation was very very good. And having test drove the previous Camry,I can tell you that the new Camrys handling has improved so much it felt planted through corners and didnt have much of the floaty feeling the previous camry was famous for. Some might not like its looks but to tell you the truth, after the drive, you just want to get in again and keep driving it. yes kevin23.. you can change ur nick but your postings always give you away. why do you need to hide behind a new nick?? oh btw, if you're not kevin23, do be friends with him. I'm sure the both of you will get along very well

They might thought Camry current is even better or so. Another minor reason customer buy camry is the toyota capital facility. Usually were businessman who like to use as company payment wise like housing is diff compare conventional loan. As you know of, 160k+ is not cheap car yet still affordable. the figure of 1000+ just a norm phenomena for car launching. you have to see the next 3 months for it. nothing I against with. I just want you all know that in every product there's a plus and a minus. People who select it will need to live with it. There's no 100% car in the world.

Seats are slightly thinner than the previous gen Camry. Interior materials are better than previous gen for sure, but okay only. Actually, in this price range nowadays, quality you get is average only. Pick up was excellent? That engine was a joke even with the previous generation Camry, unless of course you have only driven slower cars in your life. Sound insulation is Camry's forte in this class and I was told the new gen was supposed to be quieter. The handling is def better than the previous gen, I have also driven the new one and compared to the prev gen it is better, but not to the quantum you are describing it to be. A Camry being planted thru corners? Seriously? You got to be kidding me. Its not a BMW or an Alfa or even a Porsche. You want to get in and keep driving it? Please do.

Dude, some of your statements is correct, but some seem like is totally opposite from the real. The NVH, no doubt, it has improved quite a lot, can say it is comparable to the Teana now, but handling, no doubt, better than the previous version, but still the body roll is too much and the steering feel is totally none. Pickup, this is what I found pretty funny from your test result, but maybe you have been cheated by the 4-speed gearbox, which the first gear is quite low and causing you to feel the car is powerful, but when shift to 2nd gear, you can feel the car suddenly lost the power slightly and from there you can feel the under power, especially when you climbing a steep slope, when you kick the pedal harder, you will feel the gearbox seem like hang a while to decide whether to shift up or shift down gear. But afterall the refinement and quality is still better than Korean the K5 or the Sonata.
