+1 , there's a research being done somewhere last time, i read it before that athlete who took 4 whole eggs doesn have any significant elevated cholesterol serum lvl. or more canc it say it doesn not change much on cholesterol lvl
usually the cholesterol problem is due to the own synthesize of cholesterol in the body, it cna be reduced by taking fibres which binds to the bile, examples oats. (sorry, forgotten insoluble or soluble fibre already. getting old here )
fish oil helps in reducing cholesterol lvl, so it is possible due to omega 3 .
Do not be afraid of fat. Even saturated fat has its place in our diet. Blood cholesterol level is a marker of what is going on inside our body, but they are not the culprits. Internal body inflammation will push body to produce more cholesterol to repair systemic inflammation, hence you will see higher cholesterol in your blood work. I take lots of eggs, animal fats, fats from fish, but limit my carb intake to veges and it doesnt elevate cholesterol. Carbs like oats, bread etc and too much omega 6 (compared to omega 3) in your body will elevate cholesterol due to higher systemic inflammation.
Reducing carbs and increasing fat also helps body to learn to use fat as energy source. There is a reason why body store excess energy as fat (not carbs - carbs are converted to fat). I find eating this way work well for me and I never really need to do cardio or cutting routine like I used to, just to stay lean. Try it out and see and if you need more info, try googling Primal / Paleo diet.
