haha, sorry dont mean to troll. but really, my gym has people half squatting 60kgs.. and benching even less! good luck on your back man. squatting has improved my posture and back strength so it might do your back some good i suppose...

Ditto that.
If we were to take everyone in the gym and average out their bench, it wouldn't even be 60kg. There are a lot of people benching less than that. 60kg curls lol, I think a lot of newbies are going to point you out to their trainer and say 'That's what I wanna do'.

I dunno, my friend toccata said wtf when he saw my veins yesterday when i was just casual and relaxed while waiting to pay for shisha.
I tried! They said I'm too hardcore. I'm like wtf? All i do are basic shit, 4 sets, 6-10 reps, of whatever shit. Just a lil heavier.
Zzz.... my max for barbell curls is just 60kg x 5-6. It's not even someone's bench!
your max barbell curl are my benching warm up sets brah.... damn...

Just got home from accompanying a friend shopping for supplements. Encountered a scenario which I find rather disturbing, you tell me if it's just me yeah?

So, as we were browsing around there were these 3 college kids (I think) grabbing a tub each of NO Xplode. 2 were skinny, the third was very overweight and all 3 didn't look like they've ever been in a gym. Now not to discriminate but with my curiosity piqued, I tried to strike up a conversation.

Me : You guys planning to hit the heavy weights huh?
Them : No lah, we don't go to gym wan. Later become like all the muscle guy haha
Me : *bites tongue*
Them : This one good for study! Take one time really can concentrate. Some more during exam time add extra a bit...really can feel the effect
Me : ...... *shocked*
Them : *runs off*

Is it just me or is there something seriously wrong with this whole scenario?

lol. I have never heard of that! Some of my friends swear by B-complex and chicken essence. The most ridiculous so far for protein is some of my friends think just by ingesting protein they can become muscular. But intelligence and concentration? never haha.

Too much caffeine also not good for your body! You get a booster for the first one or two hours. After the effect wears down, you'll be very exhausted!

agreed. chronic lack of concentration must have to do with physical fatigue. Best way to fight fatigue is to sleep well and eat well. Caffeine is a temporary relief, not a fix

I really hope so. But they seemed to have no knowledge on dosage. Like they said, they just add scoops if it's exam time or they plan to study through the night.

You should have told them getting muscles is a side effect. The effect is delayed, only happens 6 months later.

Hmm to me this is pretty much same like having energy from having drinking energy drinks. I took those during exams for the caffeine since I dun like coffee.

this response is epic. that would definitely scare them off. if they want the caffeine, they should really get some caffeine pills from the pharmacy. i don't know whether it's sold in Malaysia but my friends take them in the US.
