Acis, i tried using your 11.6 driver but when I check, it says 11.5 after installing. Now when I download the 11.6 mobility from ATI website, same thing happens.
Can you post the exact link which you used and how you installed it? Thanks |

Hei guys, I've ordered the HP Pavilion dv6-6114TX NB PC but I've forgotten to put the E-Coupon, and I've used Direct Deposit and I've not payed anything yet...
Should I call to HP and cancel my order or wait for the 14 days-Order cancellation? based on the below T&C, if the order is a confirmation but has not been payed and delivered, I do have my right to cancel and avoid any payments to HP right? 10) The Order will be treated as cancelled if HP does not receive full payment for the Order by the 14th day after order confirmation. 11) However, should the Order herein be cancelled by Customer within 14 days from date of acknowledgement of such order by HP and prior to delivery of the Products, HP reserves the right to charge Customer a cancellation fee of fifteen percent (15%) of the value of the order By the way this is the T&C for Direct Deposit 6. HP will process your order and ship your equipment immediately, pending availability, upon clearance of payment. So if no payment clearance means no Order Processed means after 14-days-Order Cancellation will be implied and no charges will be imposed to the customer right? So is there anyway to permanently select the Intel HD3000 instead of AMD HD6770M GPU and only manually switch back to HD6770M when I need it?

Hey guys..I know that the dynamic switching issue has been talked to death over here but since I was rather concerned about how it will affect the programs that I often use which are mostly openGL programs, I gave the hp guys a call just to ask whether this will affect the said programs. After sometime, one of their sales agent told me that he'll ask the technical staff and also his manager to check up on this issue as they themselves have not heard about this dynamic switching issue with openGL programs ( I know!!!....right...)
This is the reply that I got from their technical manager : QUOTE Here is what my manager has informed me: The notebook model above does not support dynamic switching (ref: http://www.amd.com/us/products/technologie...-graphics.aspx) The AMD Radeon 6770M has OpenGL 4.1 support. OpenGL requirements for the following softwares: Adobe Photoshop : Min 2.0 Adobe LightRoom: Min 2.0 3D Studio Max: OpenGL capable cards Autodesk Maya: OpenGL capable cards Please also take note that dv6-6114tx might not fit to run 3D Studio Max and Autodesk MAYA because the min OS requirement is Professional versions or higher. Home versions might not be supported. No issue with PhotoShop and Lightroom. So...hmm....well...um..i'll just take their word for it and then will take it from there..so I didnt cancel my order just yet, will wait for the laptop and then test it out. Sigh...hope it all goes well. Reason why I looked to the hp was mainly because of the bundle deal and together with the price, it is really bang for your buck |

Since our dv6 is configure this way 6770 => HD3000 => Monitor or HD3000 => Monitor correct me if i am wrong.. From Intel website Here HD3000 support up to OpenGL 3.0 I found something else while looking deeper. HP Intel HD3000 Driver from here => 8.15.10.2291 and Intel HD3000 Driver from here => 8.15.10.2361 anyone dare to try update? Because i found something else even more shocking is that.. ![]() ![]() even the Intel HD3000 is sharing the same driver with 6770?! |

Actually I've noticed this also, but from what I've known that the HP Driver for the AMD came with Intel Driver and Switchable graphic option, thats why they share the same version as this is a custom driver...
You can update both manually actually, I did update the Intel HD Graphics from Intel Drivers website and Catalyst 11.6 from AMD, of course starting to install from stock HP Drivers before upgrading...make sure you switch to the main graphic when installing the corresponding drivers (e.g. Installing AMD drivers then select AMD graphic card first, or Intel Drivers then selec Intel HD Graphics first). I did have many issues for the first time when I installed and everything went screwed up as the Morphological Filtering in AMD drivers keep on enable even I've disabled it, and it affected all of my programs, then I reformatted it again and try again...Wala~ done everything is backed in normal...and the driver works according to the way I wanted... |

erm, honestly, I do not use the auto-switching, as I only used the manual switching, as I disabled the auto-switching...
hmm the dynamic switching I only encountered when I use the stock drivers. After updating, I've disabled automatic switching so when I need the AMD graphics that time only I switch to it by manually... |
