HI Warlove3,

Great to hear that. Would you mind telling me what version of drivers you are using? I am trying to disable automatic switching on my 6114 as well. Thanks.

My best bet is 6001TX because those with 6114TX already have dynamic switching implemented and thus the manual switching is unavailable just like the CCC screenshot from Acid compare to other's 6114's CCC screenshot.

doh.gif i can't find any reference website or faq to show u but from my personal experience, never boot computer with USB storage devices like pendrive or external hard disk drive or even device like iPod/iPhone plugin to the USB port when booting. The PC/Laptop will tend to stuck on BIOS only.

wonders why.

Hey guys..I know that the dynamic switching issue has been talked to death over here but since I was rather concerned about how it will affect the programs that I often use which are mostly openGL programs, I gave the hp guys a call just to ask whether this will affect the said programs. After sometime, one of their sales agent told me that he'll ask the technical staff and also his manager to check up on this issue as they themselves have not heard about this dynamic switching issue with openGL programs ( I know!!!....right...)

This is the reply that I got from their technical manager :

So...hmm....well...um..i'll just take their word for it and then will take it from there..so I didnt cancel my order just yet, will wait for the laptop and then test it out. Sigh...hope it all goes well. Reason why I looked to the hp was mainly because of the bundle deal and together with the price, it is really bang for your buck
*
yes radeon 6770m are support open GL, the thing is this card wont kick in when you using these program you have to use intel HD 3000 to run em, just like all adobe program and blender. smile.gif

i personally don't believe on these thing like plug off your battery to maximize the battery life span, it may sound logic but i just don't believe on that. smile.gif

Initially I thought it will reduce the life span of the battery but after doing a research I found out it's actually not, so from now on I will not remove the battery even though the AC-Adapter plugged in.

tell that to my 3 years old dell inspiron 1420 biggrin.gif. barely after 2 years, it can run for 15 minutes without adapter. now only 3 minutes top. happens to my brother's,sister's and colleague's dell to... that's why I personally don't like dell laptop.. unless you're buying the xtra 3 years complete cover warranty which IMHO, cost too much

But some of my friends claim that their Dell laptop's battery is working fine and the battery can last as long as when they first bought the laptop, furthermore I thought Dell is one who has this kind of feature in their laptop.
