QUOTE(Qash-M @ Jan 16 2019, 10:23 PM) QUOTE(nexona88 @ Jan 16 2019, 10:33 PM) Bitrate increase is okay but I would rather they never reduce their HD bitrate to around 3Mbps again. Audio bitrates should be logically increased too. 32kbps HE-AAC V2 Stereo sounds not so palatable to general channels especially for those with Hi-Fi equipment. However that audio bitrate should be fine for news oriented stations (BNC, BES).This post has been edited by shaun_kok: Jan 16 2019, 10:58 PM |

"SIARAN UJIAN" shown above on RTM HD SPORTS has been changed to "SIARAN PERCUBAAN" while this is added to BES (it shows the normal watermark addition only before addition). Also from sometime yesterday, "RTM NEWS" on screen logo graphic has been changed to BES (which is the final name to be used on this channel). However, that "syok sendiri" watermark addition (those understand that will know my meaning) is never removed despite being completely unnecessary and viewer complaints.

Well it the watermark is there because it is trial without broadcasting fee, until full shutdown. ![]() ![]() After full shutdown then can complain if the watermark still exist. |

How's the Johorian's response on Singapore's analogue TV shutdown, especially in northern Johor areas like Muar where lots of TV antennas installed high up? Are many of them switched to digital TV to continue watching Singapore TV channels?
How's the digital TV signal reception there? Is it easier to receive Singapore TV signals compared to analogue TV before? |

Are many of them switched to digital TV to continue watching Singapore TV channels? Not sure about the response but I had seem that many places had taken up DTT in Southern Johor, especially during late 2018. There will be no reception for Channel U in HD at now in Northern Johor due to co channel interference with analogue NTV7 from Gunung Ledang, which uses the same frequency (586MHZ). SD version of the same channel remains available on Channel 33 at least for now, as a legacy for Mediacorp transmits Ch U in SD only at that frequency until Mediacorp starts HD version of Channel U on completely different frequency due to insufficient bandwidth. How's the digital TV signal reception there? Down south in kluang, only HD5 is stable, the rest are okay on certain days and times, sometimes no signal, and channels do go missing How's the digital TV signal reception there?
