Sorry razuryza for misunderstanding
QUOTE(wirelessbuyer @ Jun 21 2016, 01:27 AM)
I think what razuryza means is where you live like KL, petaling jaya, kuching or etc. Anyway you can find more information about it here.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MYTV_Broadcasting
http://mytvbroadcasting.my/english/about/test-phase-sites/
For the hardware, there are few way for you to receive the channel

1. By using existing TV that has build in DVB-T2 tuner. This way you just need to get cheap external indoor/outdoor UHF antenna that able to cover frequency stated here 594 - 738 MHz (around this range la)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MYTV_Broadcas...and_frequencies

2. By using external DVB-T2 tuner. Sometimes it packs together with antenna; but if it don't you need to purchase external indoor/outdoor UHF same as above and you just need to connect it to your TV usually through HDMI/RCA cable. Example from previous discussion is http://www.lazada.com.my/k2-full-hd-1080p-...ar-3484324.html

I think my old town perak not in the list at wiki.
But about the TV , how do I know whether my TV support or having build in DVB-T2 tuner ? Using LCD tv
As for UHF antenna had been install like 10 years on old town so still can use ?

I guess the best way to check is search online for your TV model, like mine I'm using Sony KDL-40R550C which have a built in DVB-T/T2 tuner. Try google and search for the 'tuner' details on your TV specification section.

For the antenna, I'm not really sure but as far as I remember from reading this thread there was a forumer that successfully receive the channel by using their old existing UHF antenna that ppl put outside; as long as it support the frequency. So better to give a shot biggrin.gif

I'm using indoor antenna that I purchased from AEON for about rm60+ that comes with booster. The booster really helps me to get better signal (lucky me  biggrin.gif) as without it kinda hard for me to receive the signal at all. But if you lucky enough, you can just follow the video below as a cheap or free alternative  brows.gif

It looks like my tv manual doesn't have DVB-T2 build in.I need to buy a DVB-T2 box or something ? Is it cheap or worth to get one ?
QUOTE(9M-MAS @ Jun 21 2016, 12:55 PM)
Perak dekat mana bro? Just tell lah where.

Old antenna might work if there is no short and preferably no booster attached.
*
Can take out booster , location at Iph

I am south of Ipoh.  We've been getting DTT broadcast since February.  A box can be as cheap as RM60 on Lazada (usually no warranty though),  up to around RM120 -  RM150.
*
I search lazada , all are oversea surely no warranty. No local seller selling ? Does it looks like no one actually using them ?
And do you have a guide how do I use them setting up the tv for DVB-T2 ?

The K2 would be the better one. Been using it since mid 2015 no problem so far except maybe the remote. MYTV decoders are only given to SELECTED ( not all) BRIM recipients
*
As for K2 , I can't find any of it shipped from malaysia for lazada .Where did you bought it from and the price ?
So how does MYTV give out the and select Bt1m user ?
QUOTE(truelife @ Feb 25 2017, 02:39 PM)
K2 brand is too light and it looks cheap and low quality. K2 does not have manual buttons for volume and channel. It depends solely on remote control. The decoder will face problem if the remote control is missing or damaged.

I think the one shown by Maxeos is a better option. At least we can see manual buttons on the decoder.

When buying digital TV tuner box, below is my list of the most important criteria:
1) support DVB-T2 (must have the wording DVB-T2 on the decoder, not DVB-T)
2) manual buttons for channels and volume on the decoder
3) come with remote control
4) display TV channel on the decoder screen
5) HDMI port
6) USB port

I think some good DVB-T2 tuner decoders below.

As for

Does it work within malaysia ? I saw it was shipped oversea and was not within malaysia. Besides , I saw there is a record button , can I record tv program running to the USB ?
Do you own them ?

The K1 Plus http://www.lazada.com.my/ki-plus-k1-plus-1...x-13012167.html
is really over budget for me smile.gif

And the third one , http://www.lazada.com.my/full-hd-1080p-dvb...uk-9131616.html
Does it looks similar with the first link ? http://www.lazada.com.my/receptor-satellit...r-18480907.html
It somehow looks the same to me beside the Component output but it stated with HDTV UK .Does it work within malaysia too ?

I really getting confuse which I should pick up.Which mode are you using right now ?

I used to have both K2 and the first picture (DVB-T2&S2 combo). In the end I gave the K2 box to my relative. The decoder in the first picture fits my requirement.

I can't access them anymore , did lazada remove the link ?
Anyhow ,after searching , http://www.lazada.com.my/catalog/?q=full-h...-box-tv-hdtv-uk

I bought it from lazada last time at a higher price. Now the price has been reduced. In fact RM80++ including postage for a DVB-T2 combo box is already a good price.
In the Delivery System settings, did you see to DVB-T2 apart from DVB-T?
*
I saw a recording function , does it work on your box ? btw , all are not local selling.Overseas.You bought oversea ?
QUOTE(natamhanjing @ Mar 2 2017, 09:30 PM)
Already return last week to Lazada. Not sure when getting the refund.😢

Since no refund yet, I go buy K2 brand from 11street. Syukurrrr its working.😁
Couple it with cheap indoor antenna (Giant brand) and cheap HDMI cables.
*
Really ? can direct me to which K2 model you bought ?
QUOTE(Tokik Siwok @ Mar 2 2017, 10:22 PM)
just ordered 1 from lazada

cheaper but long wait since post from oversea

Which brand did you order K2 ? what is the price you order ?

I bought it from Lazada and the seller is from overseas. Below is the picture. It took only 10 days to reach me. The decoder has record function using usb. You can connect the decoder to TV by 4 methods - HDMI, component video, coaxial or RCA (red, white, yellow). Use HDMI for the best quality of picture and sound, followed by coaxial and component video. Try not to use the conventional RCA (only if your TV is too old which only has RCA terminal). The other cheaper model - K2 only has RCA and HDMI.
*
Thank you very much for a reply , would you directly me the lazada seller oversea link ? The oversea is from which country ?
Did you test out yet the recording function ? how big is the size for recording a video ?
Thank you smile.gif

I couldn't remember which seller was. The price was higher last time at nearly RM100. I saw someone selling at RM80+ in Lazada now. I've tested the recording function before. It works. But I am not sure about the size as I deleted the file from my pendrive after my testing was successful.
*
If I remember correctly , lazada does keep track on the item we bought on the account list.
one of the reason I was asking for the link was to confirm about which model and seller since it's mostly trusted and able to deliver it within 10 days.
I might worry of getting some seller which deliver takes 2 weeks and when comes out to be a faulty units.
I even spot some more cheaper around 80+ but how reliable is out of question. Maybe you could help me to check the link of the seller you brought from.
Thank you

and also the recording , not sure how it works but do I need to turn on the TV to record or just set the timer while tv is off to record ? Size does matter if it comes with raw .ts format shakehead.gif
About the media support , does it support .mkv , mp4 files or rmvb files ? though just an extra question as media player biggrin.gif
Thanks agian

I don't have Lazada account. I used as guest to enter the transaction. I have deleted the email as well. There are many sellers in Lazada selling the same item. You just need to look at their ratings and read buyers' review.

The recorded video was saved as MPEG-2 TS Video format. I have tested. The decoder also plays jpg, amp3 and mp4 files. As for other formats, I am not sure.
*
Thanks for the reply , I though you have an account for lazada.Yeh , many seller but not knowing which one is trusted and able to deliver as expected time.
Since it's MPEG-2 like dvd , the size is quite large 1-2GB for 1 hours still depends.
Maybe i'll try and get one and test.

It's confirm with the picture you provided ? got the 7 star button and support HDMI , RCA and component cable.I just worry i got th ewrong set with comes with oversea setting or plug.
