The DTTV contract was a gamble, put your money up first to build the network and then collect revenue and later profit from the television channels. MYTV messed up by taking way to long to roll out the network. It is a difficult project building new transmitters on mountain tops, but they knew that before bidding. I have not heard anything on why they are so delayed.

Any news about the planned Chinese channels from 4 operators like Enjoy TV, Green Packet + HK Broadcaster and another 2 companies?

Heard they were going to have between 16 - 32 new Chinese channels from these operators/TV stations.

If plans materialise soon maybe by Chinese New Year 2019, then good, more revenue for MYTV to pay up their debts by the time the analog switchoff dateline comes.

Also more channels for MYTV viewers and fans to watch, making MYTV a more interesting platform. Iḿ sure if those channels come on air more Chinese people will start buying MYTV decoders.

I guess that the various content providers are waiting for the analog switch off. Most Malaysians will carry on watching analog until forced to flip.

Anybody have experience with DVB-T2 Capture cards (PCI or USB). I am planning to stream the shows to other TVs in the house.

Any idea where to buy 1?

While MYTV debt dispute is not settled, all DTV plans will be postponed / cancelled.

However, from time to time, you will see advertisement of Myfreeview on NTV7 but most of us couldn't get any signals. How funny is that. I am waiting for our YB to make public announcement about Malaysia's future terrestrial TV, hopefully it's not going be a disappointed one.

This depends on your building's antenna

For me, I just use my building's centralized antenna and I am getting very good digital reception, but some of the other forummers here have reported this did not work for them and they had to buy external antennas.

Just test the centralized building one first, since that is the cheapest method cos you would only need an RF cable to connect to the wall. I only spent RM6 for one in Ace Hardware.
