QUOTE(JohnLai @ Oct 5 2015, 01:31 PM) [attachmentid=5065023] Interesting.....MCMC also published some informative material..... I propose everyone to read it. From the information, by October 2015 in kuching should be under coverage to receive signal. Hopefully, this month could start enjoy watching more channels This post has been edited by work_tgr: Oct 5 2015, 07:08 PM

QUOTE(JohnLai @ Oct 5 2015, 08:44 PM) The only statement that pissed me off from the document is ; There are 7 SD channels currently transmitted on the DTT platform with enhanced picture qualityYeah right.....standard definition.....enhanced picture quality All the four screenshots provided = stretched 4:3 to TV 16:9 That's really uncomfortable to watch the stretched scenes on 16:9 TV. Most TV screen now is 16:9. But, I can use projector to watch in the worst case. But eye pain to watch too long on projection.

QUOTE(myxery @ Oct 12 2015, 01:13 PM) press reported 30 saluran percuma, isn't that enough? if my led tv already got DVB-T2 tuner built in, does taht mean i do not need to buy the decoder? i guess so. But I saw early posts, someone mentioned about hacking the tuner to get signals. As for decoder, there got western and asian, so I guess western decoder couldn't use here.

QUOTE(mun88 @ Oct 12 2015, 01:10 PM) what i know this "mytv" is got 2 type tv, free and paid tv. of course paid tv is more good tv channel can watch, so you don't expect too much for free tv , "mytv" target is for "paid tv" just like unifi tv. Free TV is good enough for me. Sooner or later, no more analogue TV, so need to be ready for the new change. However, It's almost middle of October, no signals, yet ?

QUOTE(9M-MAS @ Oct 12 2015, 02:18 PM) No such thing as Western and Asian. Basically if they use DVB-T2 we should be able to receive local signals using the same decoder here. The "hacking" you read earlier is all about enabling the built-in tuner of the TV, for which most are shipped disabled. IC. I wonder DVB-T (not T2) can use in Malaysia or not? Cause I have both T2 and T, and haven't get the chance to test. This post has been edited by work_tgr: Oct 12 2015, 02:46 PM

QUOTE(9M-MAS @ Oct 12 2015, 02:40 PM) If you are around KL and Southern Klang Valley I believe you can get RTM's trial DVB-T. DVB-T2 won't come until MYTV arrives here. Still being confused with DVBT and T2. When MYTV arrive, DVB-T can't use anymore? This post has been edited by work_tgr: Oct 12 2015, 02:46 PM

QUOTE(izz70 @ Oct 12 2015, 08:56 PM) Talking about prices I believe that if mytv is selling their set at RM200 then it will be cheaper than the one sold at lazada.. I know that some are selling up to RM400 do take note that the mytv set has hbbtv capabilities. Those in Thailand selling for cheap Got cheaper one from China below RM100 from lazada QUOTE(JohnLai @ Oct 12 2015, 09:15 PM) When the dvb-t trial started back in year 2006, government so happily announced that we will go full digital in year 2012 and phase out analog broadcast in year 2015........ And is end of 2015, sarawak is not even started with trial phase

QUOTE(izz70 @ Oct 14 2015, 08:20 PM) The trial phase is using T2. The only one using DVB-T is Klang Valley but that was the 2008 trials til now and only for rtm channels. That is not under MYTV. My god ~ is ok, i got another decoder is Dvbt2.

QUOTE(izz70 @ Oct 27 2015, 01:29 PM) Sarawak will only start in December. was on RTM news some time back. The rest will have to wait until further notice. You can voice your complaint on MYTV facebook page or maybe if you want report to MCMC This is so funny. I remember in news, MYTV officially announced that Sarawak will have this service around June. Why now suddenly delay to December? --- Latest update news https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid...901754719843052MCMC today unveils the DTTB Receiver Consumer Label at its auditorium in Cyberjaya. This label will allow consumers to identify the right receiver sets eg; televisions and set-top-boxes that comply with DTT platform. This post has been edited by work_tgr: Oct 27 2015, 05:04 PM
