in order for the router to talk to BTU. the router must have VLAN tagging feature. most firewall have this feature too..

you cant use modem router for unifi because its DSL modem and doesnt support VLAN tagging.

Tplink w8960n is modem router but stock firmware can be configured for unifi use. lol

Why nightmare? I believe there are no problem for any of the BTU used by the TM.

The problem now it just a router. Both Dlink & TM RnD is too basic.

We can say that, Dlink DIR-615 is just a 'BEST EFFORT' wifi router, just like typical TM mentalilty. smile.gif

BTW, my company bought another 2 units of TP-Link TD-W8960N. IMHO, this unit is the the best cheap replacement for DIR-615.

nah... w8960n is old modem+adsl router for streamyx... it got a built in vlan tagging so you dont need to flash any custom rom to make it work with unifi.

while 841nd you need to flash custom firmware. this router is cheaper. or its sibling 741nd half of 841 cost... tongue.gif
