Tested TP-Link TL-WR841N with Alcatel-Lucent BTU. Work well.
Definitely better than stupid black router.
Thanks klseet for the step by step guide.

Anyone else getting Streamyx-like speed? The max I'm getting is 0.7 mbps. I'm from Cheras, if that helps.

Question:
Is it a must that the Dect Phone be connected directly to the BTU?
I am getting the service soon but I would prefer everything to be wireless instead of running cables.
My intention is to have them terminate just in my house then operate everything including IPTV wirelessly.
If anyone has the same setup do share.
Thanks

of course can.. How much is your budget?

1. DECT is wireless already - But you need another charging station.
2. Get a pair of wifi bridge to connect ONU to Router.

That's the cheapest 1 i think.

Fibre to building, VDSL2(like streamyx) within building.

Can someone correct me if im wrong?

From my understanding, the DIR-615 creates vlan 500 for internet and vlan 600 for iptv.
So if i use another router that can also create vlan 500 and vlan 600 and port forward it should work?

I saw that modem router canot be used and must use router only? why so huh?

wondering about something,
i was using the line at home
use a while then suddenly the LAN connection icon got an '!'
then it says unidentified network, no internet access
so i disabled it, reanable it back, then it resumes.. now its occurring quite frequently
any idea why ar? was it the router again ?

I tried turning off the torrent client then it stops happening -.- router cant handle the load again ?

in order for the router to talk to BTU. the router must have VLAN tagging feature. most firewall have this feature too..

you cant use modem router for unifi because its DSL modem and doesnt support VLAN tagging.
