that 03 number (the called number) belong to TM or TIME or Maxis?
if non-tm off course you are being charged.

In telecommunication, for calls originating from Telco A to Telco B, Telco A need to pay interconnect charge to Telco B.

So no free call outside the Telco A network (offnet).

there are several area are belong to other provider fixed line operator such as Digi And Maxis, ( for example bandar baru puchong and BU12 if not mistaken) they still using the same prefix 03-

3 type of charge:

one time charge : eg: activation fee
recurring charge: every month/quarter/half year/year with same subscription fee, eg: unfi charge RM149 per month
usage charge: based on usage, eg: telephone bill

i have  exactly the same problem with you. same hardware.

i just got unifi vip 5 and my problem is... the wifi, if connected to laptop the line is ok. but if connected to smartphones, in my house i have 2 androids phones  a galaxy tab and a BB, the wifi is really terrible. always no network la.., network error la.., try again la.., keep on loading page la.., bla bla bla...

the best part is, when i called the stupid unify cs, they said... our support is only for connection to pc/lappy. for smartphones u have to call the phone company. bloody hell. bodoh betul!!  mad.gif  mad.gif  mad.gif

i'm thinking of changing to tp-link router but not sure if it'll make much difference.

Do you check your smart-ass phone/gadget compatible with Wifi encryption of the router?

Is it compatible ONLY to WEP or WPA or WPA2?

some smart-ass phone got issue with the encryption, only support certain type of encryption is stead of all of em.

hey guys.

I've read the guides and articles of KLseet.

Was looking to replace the crappy RG-TMRND router.

I saw TP-Link TL-WR841N V7 and TP-Link TD-W8960N. Both priced at RM99 & RM139 respectively in lowyat Czone.

Wanted to know what's the difference between the two, was it only the one with required custom firmware and the other without ?

Please use your own router & throw the TM Dlink, try ASUS-RT-N56U I use already, so far so good.

Connection to my PC, Laptop & my phone no problem

When you off power, restart the router and modem, the router boot-up time also very fast.

24/7 Wifi connected with my PC and my XPS for few month already never restart all of my computer and unifi.

Now you can go C-Zone find "Boss Miss Chock Teng" ask her discount and if you unifi, just ask for modem for UNIFI version.

They have sell 2 version of TP-Link, 1st is Streamyx, 2nd is Unifi.

Chose wisely. anyway can be reinstall to ether Streamyx or unifi, just flash the firmware.

klseet for more information

got same problem with u. well, tm rnd router is terrible. my bro in law work at tm also clarify this.

so, what i did is, disable wireless on the tm rnd router, i use back wireless router that previously use for streamyx. i'm using linksys WAG120N btw. connect both. change the ip address on the streamyx router to follow the tm router. let say, tm router default ip is 192.168.0.1, then change ur streamyx router ip to 192.168.0.2. and then need to change the connection type from PPOE to bridge mode. save. it works for me.
