Hey guys.. just got my unifi installed a few days back.. was damn awesome on the first day.. getting 500kbps torrent download on a single file..

then the speed degraded followed by some intermittent disconnections, which will be resumed after 1-2 mins

it may occur at a very frequent rate.. when it occurs, the LED of VOIP turns red, then everything got disconnected

called the CS, not much info other than not seeing any issue, connection established for XX  mins thats all

after some frequent hassling from me, finally they said they will arrange a technician to check things out..

I'm not sure but is this related to an overheated huawei BTU? LAN connection seems to be established so I can rule out router's fault
*
Could be the BTU, since the technician is coming over might as well wait and see wink.gif

same issue here dude... last weekend the line straight away can't connect... the Optical is red light and was unable to connect for the whole weekend vmad.gif

called and complainted then on Sunday, the technician contacted me and told me my area got 5 servers down... i wasn't at my home that time, yesterday night went home and realized the line is up again. However this morning, when i woke up, the Optical is still green, but after i took my bath, the light became red again mad.gif But the moment i going to work, the light turned green again. zzzzzzzzzzzz

Now i also not sure whether is the infra or the modem problem... will monitor the situation few more days then see how. BTW, i also just got my line early this month only... i stayed at Setia Alam and my area is pretty new, can say the first to apply and pasang according to the technician that came over to pasang...

Not only that, my IPTV STB after going through the latest firmware upgrade, straight away cannot use d.. stuck at INIT... confirm die d the STB and need replacement.

So far it has been a very unpleasure experience using UniFI... hopefully things will improve soon..

another thing i wanna ask is, izit all the call make using UniFi line is free? to any landline and local mobile network? i know IDD call sure cannot la...

Are there any difference to the tm supplied BTU? I have the white color unit whereas my friend is having the black Huawei unit.

So far my download speed max out at 570+kbps for vip5. I see a lot of forumer showing 5mb+ speedtest results. I don't get more than 5mbps. Max around 4.7mbps.

Erm... only to HOMELINE. Not just landline. Calling to those business/company with 0XX prefixes will still get charged ==

TM guarantee just 80% and you're getting about 95%. It's alrdy very good. Those speedtest result is just a reference and is only to that particular server. Can't be used as a measure in practical use. BTU makes no difference. I'm using huawei 655 for 6th month now. Except when all of us is back for holiday, it's up 24x7. No problem.

Guys, just want to know how long will it take from applying to installation.

My housemate applied on 27/07/2011. He was informed it will just take 1 week for the whole process. But until today he still have no idea if the appllication if approved or not. We live in condo in Taman Kosas, and it just happened that day they have opened a booth in front of our condo. So he fill up the application with haste. Didn't even get that guy contact number. Should we just apply from another dealer/agent? Anyone can suggest me what can he do?

== Thought what u're saying. You're talking about mobile phone isit...
You know right... I'm from sarawak. Our phone number starts wit 08 and got 3rd digit that indicates which district you're from. Means our prefix is 08X - XXXXXX which is different from west malaysia.

But... how come I'm charged for calling 03 numbers? and it's not only one time but two three times. Other telco do offer landline but hardly ppl will use right. I think if i say 90% use tm also possible right? Why I got charged == and I can confirm I've not called cust service in that period of time somemore it's listed not as mobile but... THIS
