now at copenhagen. travelling using cm7's GPS without simcard is quite troublesome even i've applied the double sticker fix. it took almost 5min to get GPS locked.

but the MIUI.apk really helps me a lot to improve the camera quality and video recording. i can record in HD without problem but only for 30sec... after that, the video becomes choppy on playback
- cm7 Nightlies #0605. Tk-Glitch kernel v10B-VC

Samsung actually sent an SGS2 to CM7 community to develop a ROM. I hope they quickly fix it right for SGS1.

Do have sensor aiding ON when you test GPS? Some cannot get a lock without using mobile data.
*
i turn on GPS(For sure tongue.gif ), Mobile Data (3G), WiFi, GPS sensor aiding
eventually i turn on everything also cant lock (on XXJVO modem) blush.gif
just flash a XXJVE modem, standstill locking is fast, will try the navigation later if got time, see how's the performance wink.gif

They have, for both SGS and Tab. But as I understand it, the source releases do not include certain closed-source or licensed stuff, due to either Samsung protecting its intellectual property or because Samsung is bound by non-disclosure agreements with its component suppliers. Saw a tweet about this by atinm, one of the CM7-SGS devs.

i found this in previous thread:

1. flash stock DXJV9 with bootloader
2. flash Speedmod
3. copy deodexed DXJV9 into sdcard
4. go to recovery, wipe data/factory reset
5. flash the deodexed DXJV9
6. let it boot up
7. flash speedmod again because previous flash will overwrite it
8. go to recovery, change RFS to EXT4

Just wondering, do i reli need to flash stock JV9 before flashing deodexed JV9? cant i just flash deodexed JV9 straight?

i am on tweaky 4.1 JVH

if u already have a gb bootloader, then you can flash the deodexed DXJV9. the above steps are meant for those coming from froyo. for those who wanna try DXJV9 custom rom with CRT off animation, overscroll glow and extra lock screens, you can try this custom rom by a Thai dev.

http://pdamobiz.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=438204&PN=1

its running on voodoo kernel, hence if you wanna flash speedmod, please make sure that you disable voodoo lagfix first because right after you flash and reboot, it will auto convert to ext4.

using it now, like what it says, you have all the cheesy effect, lockscreen and etc. CPU usage is high, suspect the culprit is cache. dont have that issue when i was using stock deodexed. still trying out, other than that, it runs fine.
