btw, why people doesn't like CM7 Fugumod kernel? this is the best custom kernel for CM7 that I've tried. bcoz there's no major issues with this kernel.
i tried several version of glitch's kernel. it's not stable, bootlooping like mad. it's glitchy! lol

stock kernel is by no mean best kernel for cm7. lack of few things, namely Voodoo sound and voodoo colour. but, it greatly enhance the development of CM7 if many people use stock kernel.

not everyone can buy that app, bro. I myself don't have credit card yet.

Stock CM7 kernel doesn't have Voodoo Sound. VCP is not built in the kernel. you should know this

yes i do know about 18 months upgrade program that's been introduced back at Google I/O this year. but sgs time is almost running out. we might not get stock Icecream Sandwich from Samsung.

bcoz you're in SGS forum? try nagging at IP4 thread (about ur IP4, if you plan to buy it), see whether there's any bias.

you got that right, brotha! response time is uber slow in Samsung rom. but, other than that, everything's wonderful! native codec support (don't need Moboplayer or Playerpro), 720p recording (without hiccups), FMradio, Allshare, Samsung App, Task Manager, and not to forget can screw with the fanbois.

Playerpro is for playing music, FLAC in specific. Samsung music player can play FLAC just fine. So, I don't need playerpro anymore.
I'm not in Malaysia, so I don't really need DX firmware.

Samsung maybe cheating with Quadrant. something related to stagefright or whatever. but thing is: dev once did that, but breaks many things like FLAC. Samsung pulled the same stunt but FLAC playback works just fine. either Samsung staffs are smarter now or the devs are stupid.

I used Fugumod on CM7 because other custom kernel just doesn't want to mate with my SGS. LOL
but, now I'm on stock rooted XXJVP 2.3.4
less responsive *than CM7* but still good.

i have this problem also. but on my 2nd time flashing this rom.
at first I managed to login but now, can't. what the hell is wrong? is Samsung's server on maintenance schedule now or sumthing?

just as I thought.. able to sync just fine the next day after complaining. maybe Samsung is preparing to launch their BBM alternative, so they need to do server maintenance. but, that's just my speculation.
