since im on Darky 10.1, GB 2.3.3 XXJVO, but the GPS still having problem. ZSJPG i've tried also, still the same.
anyone thinks that it should be the hardware problem instead of the software?
*
hm, i tot the darky's 10.1 got the fastest gps locking ' coz i'm using it now XXJVO...
u got to try fasterfix or flash another modem... no hardware problem i guess'

i turn on GPS(For sure tongue.gif ), Mobile Data (3G), WiFi, GPS sensor aiding
eventually i turn on everything also cant lock (on XXJVO modem) blush.gif
just flash a XXJVE modem, standstill locking is fast, will try the navigation later if got time, see how's the performance wink.gif

Did u just flash modem or the whole rom? My experience in the past wth flashing modem, its useless. It wont help in solving ur gps problem. I was on froyo but I flash wth gb modem. It doesnt work. But whn I flash the whole gb stock rom, my gps prob days r over. smile.gif

Guys i'm thinking of switching to samsung galaxy s from a nokia c7~ is samsung galaxy s worth it? cz i was thinking bout nokia n8 (well obviously becz of the camera and i'm a symbian^3 user so i know better about symbian^3 well not "pro" but err well u know like we know how to use >.< [so hard to explain zz] )

but nokia c7 trade in only at rm650 and the highest i found was 700 but the galaxy s at that shop is a lil expensive ~ 1.5k original box set no add on~ the 650 i get a 8gb memory card~

desire hd looks good too but ~ samsung have better gpu and cpu rite? well thats what i heard~

any prob with samsung galaxy s so far guys? since u guys are experienced user~

but i heard the seller of well most shop say that sgs 16 gb tend to hangs a lil~ the 8gb is the perfect one~ well thats what i hear~

nexus s seem nice too ^^ .. but i prefer sgs2 hahha .. since my budget is low i'll settle for sgs >.<

i really need to know the info on that phone i also heard that gingerbread updates kinda have probs on video calling and some other stuff~ they told me the rom will be stable by july or was it september ~.. i forgot >.<

if u are looking for a phone that works flawlessly out of box, then take off galaxy S from your mind. Galaxy S can be said as crown of single core after fixes done on it.
between desire HD and Nexus S, i will take Nexus S S.Amoled version, desire HD colour looks washed out to me.

And bout 8gb perfect compared to 16gb i would say its totally bullcrap, same hardware same OS, only different in internal memory size.
Galaxy S II is totally different league, if you have the budget, by all mean, go for it, it will last you longer(in terms of hardware spec).

yet to test my video call after i updated to gingerbread but so far i haven't seen any complain regarding video call.

hurm~ so no prob in gingerbread? well i heard form a lot of vendors saying dun swtich to gingerbread use froyo~ of cz sgs2 is the one i want but i dun want to spend too much on phone~ nexus s looks good but htc is kinda err too big to fin in my pocket 4.3 inch >.< .. the 4 inch samsung g s is nice ~

yeah i agree with u on that in term of specs it will last longer~ well no matter .. i wasn't looking for the best phones~ but since my budget is around 1.5 k thats why my eyes are on sgs~

"if u are looking for a phone that works flawlessly out of box, then take off galaxy S from your mind." wad do u mean by this? care to explain?

SGS out of box is like someone waking from the slumber. Lag... u need to whip it (by mean of flashing at least custom kernel) to make it awake and run for miles ahead.

You should ask in this thread about Gingerbread feedback not from the vendor IMHO.

^ out of box without any fix applied, u will face gps problem , hard to lock on to satellite. On older android version(anything below 2.2.1), u will face lag issues if you don't do lagfix.

edit : and oh yah, most of the vendors tok kok sing song most of the time whistling.gif hear tell is only thing they know

the sgs has it's share of problems. some ppl report lagginess with the touchwiz UI, some have problems with gps and most don't like the touchwiz layout. the beauty of android is that u can actually fix or change all of this with help from the online community. and the online community is really big. also...this is not really the best place to be asking about nexus and desire etc because we can only really tell u about the galaxy s...i suggest u look in the desire or nexus threads for more help on those phones smile.gif
