a shop had charged 3x my credit..the same amount and exact same time/date...they said the transaction were failed, but last week i checked my statement, those transaction already in my statement..last sunday, i went to the shop and then they said they will contact their terminal provider which is MBFCards..then yesterday they said MBF will deal with maybank about this issue...so my question is..is it true?MBF will deal with maybank?or am I being lie??????..please help guys..thanks
Sometimes they will auto reverse it after a while. Happened to me twice. First time in Causeway Bay Restaurant in Genting back in early 2008 and another time on Pizzahut.com.my this year. Both merchants reversed the extra charges after a while. Anyway, in the meantime, you may want to file for dispute charges with your credit card issuer.

Lodge a case/complain with MBB, on double/triple deduction.
Keep all the receipts, write down all the telephone communications (who, date, time, subject), keep all the emails, etc.

Previously I had double deduction from Coffee Bean using Citibank. It was resolved when Citibank took out the duplicate transaction.

You use AMEX to swipe? they are 2-3% extra charges for oversea transactions...if you going to use at oversea, use the visa or master card which only 0.5% for oversea transactions.

This indicates a transaction fee of 3% which is normal for Amex. The 5% rebate + 5x TP should more than cover this.

I prefer to go with MBB MC Plat to enjoy lower conversion rate and earn 2X TP instead of using MBB 2 AMEX to earn the 5X TP and pay more from my pocket. Those who have MBB WMC better still, lowest overseas conversion rate and earns 5X TP too

Gen-X is refering to the Maybankard MasterCard Platinum which gives you 2x points for overseas spending, not the MBB 2 card smile.gif

To say not aware then I don't accept lah.
The extra charges T&C are mentioned in the T&C booklet when you receive the card and also at the back of your monthly statement. People don't read the T&C and get upset when surprises come. (and upset as well when we say they are in the wrong by not reading T&C)
