I just got my Maybankard2, but I just realize the Amex card cannot be used in Petronas.

Although I'm still carrying Maybank Petronas, I planned to cancel it right after I got my Maybankard2.

Changing petrol is a valid option. Shell and Esso/Mobil consistently accepts Amex.

There are two threads on this matter i.e. Places That Accept Amex Thread and Petrol Thread. You should check out all the threads here and I am sure it'll be beneficial you.

Yeah, limited branches & have to pay at counter, not really convenient.

I prefer the new Petronas 95 Primax. I found it can travel longer distance compare to others.

@kezman: the petrol attendant needs to make sure you return after pumping the petrol. Else u can just drive off with free petrol.

...I better use my CIMB DA to purchase the account. Terkejut me. sweat.gif
...Can I use my M2GC VISA to buy? Or better use CIMB DA since I used it last year and had no issues with it. hmm.gif

Just a reminder - from personal experience, PayPal payments with CIMB/DA linked cards attract an admin fee for overseas transaction. What this means is that for any PayPal transaction, whether a payment made to a local or foreign merchant, you will be paying extra admin charges.

Lately, I encounter many Esso stations that do not accept Amex at their pump. So far, 5 stations. All in Johor area. Even the one accepting Amex previously becomes not able to.

I purchased air ticket online from MAS website last Saturday (Aug 13) around 2:30 AM Malaysia time. Noted the transaction date for this payment appeared in M2U is Aug 12 (Fri) instead of Aug 13. Anyone experience smiliar situation before?

Does it make any difference since I made the payment in London (still Friday evening)?? Just curious... hmm.gif

Anyway, I already wrote an email to MBB card service for enquiries.
