QUOTE(Gen-X @ Jun 3 2011, 04:55 PM) Was at Starbucks @ Centro Mall in Klang on Sat, 23/7/2011. Barista informed me that they received an email stating that the AMEX Buy 1 Free 1 promo will be discontinued - 1/8/2011 will be the last day and not 31/10/2011. Apparently, there is some 'issue' with MBB. Perhaps a forum member can verify this? If it is true, only 1 more week from now Checked the MBB website American Express promos) and indeed the offer is no longer published.

QUOTE(Gen-X @ Jul 25 2011, 06:49 PM) The offer still shown at AMEX site http://www.americanexpress.com.my/amx_info...-OffersServiceswshoh, so yesterday for the free drink did you get to choose or limited just to regular coffee? So far no black and white hence the need for forum members to 'survey' and post feedback. Otherwise, merely hearsay. Anyway, it is only a week more before we know for sure. I have always been able to choose my drink! Previously purchased items include normal brewed coffee (eg cappucino), frappucino (ice blended beverage) as well as hot chocolate. The way the promo is worded (ie 'handcrafted' beverage), perhaps only fruit juice is not included in the offer - but I have no personal experience on that.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Aug 14 2011, 11:11 PM) ...I better use my CIMB DA to purchase the account. Terkejut me. ...Can I use my M2GC VISA to buy? Or better use CIMB DA since I used it last year and had no issues with it. Just a reminder - from personal experience, PayPal payments with CIMB/DA linked cards attract an admin fee for overseas transaction. What this means is that for any PayPal transaction, whether a payment made to a local or foreign merchant, you will be paying extra admin charges.
