currently i'm using the old maybank amex gold cc and a citibank mastercard. shall i cancel the maybank amex gold and citibank mastercard and apply for the maybank 2 card instead? this will save me the service tax.

but i'm just worry about that if all my cards are from maybank and if maybank's system is down, does it means that i'm not able to use both the cards? this is important as i sometimes use it to pay hotel and food overseas.

2. The rebate is usually credited to the AMEX card on the 1st or 2nd of the month.

is it mean that i need to pay the full amount first, then next month, they only credit the rebate amount back to my account?

In addition, as for the Paypal amount for verification, you won't usually get back exactly the same amount due to currency fluctuation and transaction fees.



paypal verification can be made in msia currency, i.e.RM10

I got no idea Bro, it was you who mentioned it. But I can confirm MBB Plat yes because I just used it last month at SG ( which was damn stupid of me because I forgot my UOB give me 5X in SG). Maybe zenquix or Miles can confirm if MBB 2 also earn 2X for overseas.

Hey guys. I just got my Maybank2cards today. Went to collect the card with another friend who also had his application approved.

We compared the 4 digits 'CVC' printed on the front of our AMEX cards; they're the same. On both our cards. It's 974x just like Maybank's illustration of the card.

We also noticed there're 3 digits at the back of the card that's not part of the card number embossed on the front. You know, at the position where Visa/Mastercard's CVC is printed. The bank staff told us that the 3 digits at the back are the CVC, not the one in front.

Confused now.

using maybank 2 amex for my hotels for work, but i usually check out on fridays so i don't get the weekend rebates.

is it possible to get the hotel to swipe the card on a saturday and then check-in again to continue staying so i can get the rebate?

also,it's capped at rm50 so there's no point swiping every weekend right? since 1 week's worth of hotel>1k already.

I think I have the answer already, I hardly swipe my cards because I hardly buy stuffs.
To earn back 10k seems difficult for me, I will pay then.
