As the Market issue can't download apps due to region, can it be solved if I create a US GMail account?

tried to run a 720 mp4 and avi.. smooth on moboplayer...
*
tried a few 1080 files in mp4 and mkv format. different encoding. these are just some movie trailers ranging from 180 - 400mb.

i can get image on some. on others, blank screen. no sound.

for the files with image, it is not smooth. not very jerky but definitely not as smooth as watching on a high-end notebook.

i guess playing 1080 movies should be possible and better with tegra3.

my name ain't on the list, add me ya. My unit have light bleed at the bottom left and left bottom. I got my 32gb from all it kingston RM209.

Haven't got time to really play with it

same here... bleeding top and bottom. seems quite bad though its only obvious when starting up the unit. so far, its not affect the performance. it's more an annoyance. goes to show that for QC, not many can top Apple. sad but true.

actually ipad units have light bleeds too but i guess should be less likely to have. maybe 1 in 10 compared to transformer's 2-3 in 10.

If you have the keyboard, there is an indicator light near the charging port. smile.gif

Added on June 4, 2011, 4:06 pmDid you notice that when you are doing text input in the default browser, the text come out very slow. I have no problem when i do text entry in other apps such as fb and Twitter.

*sigh* when is my dock coming?!? sad.gif

ya, i find typing is a bit slow and annoying on the default browser. probably will try dolphin HD as that name gets mentioned quite often. annoying = when trying to reply to forum, keyboard pops up at the 'wrong time'. is there a way to set it so keyboard won't pop up unless i press some button. i though there was such option and i checked it, but keyboard still pops us.

For 720p movies mkv , it will play smoothly if the encode is using base profile. However most of the source available for download from internet are most likely encoded using high profile.

Yes iPad 1 or 2 both have bleeding issues and iPad 2 is as prominent as Transformer. Lotsa my friends noticing the bleeding on their pads too.

Finkl1 , come come get the transformer hehe

Oh and with regards to ad hoc wifi conectivity, our transformer are not capable of it by default, in fact no honeycomb tablet can.however, if you are rooted then it can be done. All u need to do is to replace the wpa_supplicant file with a modified one. The file and steps can be easily found by googling or xda forum :-)

I found that the android default on screen keyboard is a lot more responsive than the Asus one. I can now type faster. Better user experience. :-)

have u tried the proxy method? for this method, you might need to try a few until you get a fast and reliable proxy. i remember having tried like 5-6 before i found 1 i could use. even then, it was quite slow. but it was better than not being able to download anything.

The first method of using @googlemail.com isn't working for me.

So I try the second method which is the proxy thingy. My market apps is taking forever to connect now. Ya, I can remove the proxy settings so what's the point to go back to the square one?

I don't understand why the heck google want to implement so many regional restrictions. The restrictions are even worse than appstore, appstore is not so strict, why google want to make it this way? I thought open source should be even more "open"?

I can't even find those popular and simple apps from market such as skype, pingchat and whatsapp. Why under the sun would google want to hide it from tablet?

Let's take an example, I can install waze in my iphone without problem. I found waze from android market but i can't install it due to country restrictions. Why the hell in appstore we can install but not android market? I thought android is an open source OS and as well as the market?

whatsapp don't think can work with tab since it requires a sim to register your number, that's your id.

Skype is available in market, I can search and install without problem. not sure bout pingchat though...

anyway I use the proxy method and it works beautifully, immediately after signed in to market through proxy, I've removed the proxy setting and surf market via direct local internet without problem.

coupled with market enabler, I can also surf US market in case the apps I want is nit available in malaysia market :-)

so iPod also can use what's app? nice ... I've email whatsapp support asking about compatibility with our tabs, see what they replies if they replies haha

you might want to check if this meets the criteria of rooting

or

at your own risk ,and know-how before you do it.
