11000 ChoicePoints is given when you call CS to cancel.
If you do not want the free ChoicePoints and insist to cancel, RM100 will be offered instead.

You can actually set the sms alert notification for SCB from their online banking system. I set SMS and email notification for mine, amount above RM100.

SMS banking > Alerts - Manage your alerts > View alert > Transaction alert > Customize alert condition > Transaction alert setting > set amount

Remember to select card, play around with it. It is there.

They dint offer ChoicePoints to me. They just told that they can give me RM100 (They put into my account even one month before my second year reach). The CS person told me that it is very easy to keep their card. Just called them, the RM50 GST can waive easily.

Hello, I wish to ask is there an email I can direct to SC regarding Platinum card.

My friend who is a SC Classic and Gold card user for 14 years and recently his brother applied for the Plat card and he got 37k card limit.

My friend had both Classic and Gold card limit at 8K for both cards each. When he applied for the Plat card, he got a shocking 8K limit FOR A PLATINUM CARD!!!

The odd thing is that his brother's salary is lower than his. How come SC can issue such a card limit for Platinum card?

I wish to help him in this issue and I do not think emailing to the general email will help.

Do anyone knows any internal email so that this can be directed to? My friend is really good customer of SC but he felt cheated over this matter.

multiple cards from same bank tend to share credit limit across the board. my guess is that ur bro's case may just simply be the bank is lazy to offer or update the limit since he had already hold SCB cards previously. just simply call to CS and request for permanent credit increase and submit salary as prove if he is so particular on the credit limit he gets. else treaten them he will cancel. sure work...

Hmm... I will try that... But I not sure my friend is up to it because he is so pissed off over the matter. He was a loyal customer... and owes the bank nothing everytime. I'll update the case on how it goes here.

Well, if your friend needs the increase in CL, then he should call CS and request for it. But the way I see it, your friend don't use much with his SCB CC else SCB would have raised it periodically over the last 14 years.

And what is so shocking of having RM8K for Plat? It is more than another member who reported he got RM3K for his HSBC Plat recently. Plat is the new Gold tongue.gif
