Another option is to go to the branch directly and tell them to activate your card.

I received it last week.
Sms to activate & will process in 7 working days

i have been calling HLB credit card center from 14th august to today for a total of 20+ times and left 7 messages, no reply at all. Lousy like hell.

- encourages irresponsible spending
- "lottery"-style contests

how bout this on last Sunday 2/9/2012

1) Taman Sentosa ATM all label no money, All cash deposit not working
2) Taman Sri Andalas All cash deposit not working
3) Bandar Bukit Tinggi Only 1 cash deposit working but very sensitive,
the machine refuse to take money, waited for about 30 mins and only
manage to bank in half my amount because of the machine keep
rejecting my money.
4) Some of the people there waiting to use the cash deposit, come all the
way from Glenmarie, also same case, all cash deposit not working.

Bank collects interest 24/7 but service available not 24/7...

After clear your debt, less boycott HLB......

I just got a rm50 gst charge into my card. Anyone tried waive it thru customer service? If not because EON taken over by them, I wouldn't even apply HLB in the first place. Worst bank ever.

Which card u holding?

I'm holding GSC card...card anniversary on June. June 2012 I still got the "cash back" of RM50 to offset GST. Previously under EON, they have this promo of swipe 24 times min. RM2K in total, get RM50 cash back. Dunno if after full integration they cancelled this goodie. If cancelled, then I might wanna cut this card.

HONG LEONG BANK NOW CANNOT ADD FAVOURITE THIRD PARTY ACCOUNT? IM HAVING TROUBLE, ANYONE CAN TRY YOURS? IT'S VERY FRUSTRATING TO KEY IN YOUR FAV. ACCOUNT EVERYTIME YOU WANNA DO A TRANSFER.

Now LivingSocial Malaysia site will have 0.8% Cross-border charges when using HLB Credit Card... TAKE NOTE.
The charge is in RM but the payment gateway is in Australia.

My previous transaction in June 2012 has ZERO cross border charge...

same case happened to me, just called HL contact center last week to get waiver, they give all the grandmother story..
hongleong customer service is not helping at all.. bad customer service..

rm50gst? just cancel.

yup.. before i register for this card they promise that RM50 can be waive.. now different story.... nvm will pay the RM50 and will cancel right away.

HLB can promise anything on their ads & banners but after u apply, all are empty sweet words just to convince u to sign up for their cc.

personally, i think HLB really sucks. 1st bad experience. I bought a house and applied for loan. so i apply loan with Alliance bank and HLB. Alliance bank was introduce by the developer so that fellow call me and collect all the document from me in my house. So just incase 1 side didn't approve my loan, i go HLB apply the loan at the same time. This HLB fellow call me and make appointment say 7pm meet at his office (I work in Singapore and i off at 6pm, i told him i can only make it around 7:15-7:20). he then agreed to wait for me. When i reach his Office at 7:05pm, this fellow is gone. I call him and he said he went to another client place. I then screw him said why he promise to wait me until 7:30 earlier and now he is gone. I slam his phone and never ever answer his call again. Finally i got my loan through Alliance bank with the fantastic service from the consultant.

Incident 2.

I was holding an EON bank credit card previously. Everything was fantastic. until HLB took over EON bank. everything still ok because their online banking, customer service all still under the EON bank old staff. Until somewhere around march, they told me that the CC i am holding (Eon bank JB City Square card) is no longer available and they will replace my CC with another card. I ask them to mail it to my house directly using normal mail as i would not be home during office hours,they said cannot because CC is very important thing cannot mail like that blah blah blah. after much arguement, i just tell them to send to the branch in KL and i go back collect when i am back (somewhere in April), on the 29th April i got an SMS says my card is already in the branch, please collect from the branch. I went to the branch on the 2nd May. THe branch officer told me the card is not here. I show them the SMS and they called the call center to ask. they then say they will check and get back to me, I already damn pissed with them this time, so i told the branch officer i will cancel the card. Everytime i pay CC i will pay round figure in 50s and the bank still owe me RM30++, the officer ask for my bank account and will credit the remaining balance into my Public bank. I didn't really check if they really credit it because I dont track my account that much.
After so many months. I receive a CC from HLB in September. Its a Matta fair credit card. In my head, i keep thinking WTF! last time u say cannot post, now u post. 2nd thing is I cancelled this in May, now you send me the card? I didn't do anything to the card just cut and throw in the bin, never call them to verify as well. hopefully they won't bill me anything for it.
