When i told them i wanna cancel their cards, they ask y i stop using their cards. I told them their card sucks cannot use overseas even i alerted them 1 month earlier. Statement smtm cannot receive hav to call to card centre to ask. Many probs HLB never intended to improve their customer services. 1 day until i cannot bear anymore, i went straight to their brach & cancelled it. The worst part, the officer told me is very normal. Many HLB credit card users share the same prob like mine.  shocking.gif

I have to admit that the card centre is doing a lousy job these days. Too bad that all card related stuff is not a branch level operation. So, whatever you do/request at the branch, they can only forward it to the card centre in KL.

Same here. I can only view my HLB saving account but not the loan account.

Worse of all, their CS was giving me conflicting advise. He asked me to register the online banking account again even though I already have HLB online banking account.

The bank website mentioned if I have EON online banking and HLB online banking, I don't have to register again. The system will merge them automatically.

Now my EON ATM card is also having problem with HLB ATM. Before that, everything was working fine.

Really frustrated with this kind of nonsense.  mad.gif

I doubt their IT has performed a thorough testing before going live.

My money is virtually stuck. Look like I have to do my banking business over the counter.

I am going to lodge a complaint with BNM if thing doesn't improve in these 2 days.

There is no apology or notice at all from HLB management for the inconveniences caused after the SPD.  vmad.gif

Did you click the "View all accounts" button? If not, you will only see your primary savings account. And if you're still using an ATM card, I will suggest you to change it to debit card because sooner or later, you will need to change it.

I think you are right. I made a RM1500 cash withdrawal over the counter at HLB branch (not ex EON) yesterday, the counter teller had to yelled to the officer behind the partition to come forward and verified the payment with a swipe of her tag. I thought bank's officers can verify payments remotely at their own terminals ?
*
Override with swipe of tag? HLB officer override a transaction with their thumb print. If the officer's PC is not connected to the host, then he/she will not be able to override remotely and thus have to go to the teller's terminal to do overriding

QUOTE(Gen-X @ May 11 2012, 05:11 PM)
At my HLB branch, a HLB officer usually had to go the teller's terminal to verify using his thumb. But yesterday at an Ex-Eon Bank, the teller had to go tell the officer behind a door to over-right (not sure the correct term) and they could do it from their place, i.e. no need to go to counter.
So your comment is based on hearsay. Furthermore, your friend may be biased and unprofessional to disclose any info regarding his ex-company. But I know for a fact many HLB staff were not happy with their bonus this year AND most left the bank because they opted for the VSS.

haha, I going OT too much not talking about HLB CC.
*
It depends on the branch. For newer HLB branch and ex-EBB branch, the officers' workplace is usually separated by partition. If teller need their help, they will need to go behind to call for the officers. For older HLB branch, you can actually see the officers because there's no partition.

Yes. The officer came to the counter, swiped her tag, then keyed in something using her fingers Infront of my very eyes. Perhaps you are not aware that there are branches still doing this overriding procedures ?
*
Maybe. Just find it weird because as far as I know, staffs don't have a tag. Maybe it's ex-EBB branch's overriding procedures. Thought after SPD1 the procedure will be regularize.

Nope, haven't received a replacement card.

Bloody hell it's been more than a week and HLB's shitty online banking is still not working for me... followed every instruction to the letter and still no luck. Tried registering again as per their instructions and got a message saying 'invalid card number'.
Gonna have to call them again.. pfft.

One of the reason given is they are migrating the data for e-banking batch by batch. If you had tried all methods but still unavailable, you need to keep trying. When will this end? Not sure unsure.gif

wanna ask you guys about your experience with Hong leong bank call center.

i had 2 bad experince.
1st time: i called to ask about 1% cash rebate on Essential. that lady confused me with Fortune card.

2nd time: just recently, i caledl to ask the max. credit can be utilised for BT. i even gave her the scenerio where the card is having 100% unutilised credit, no outstanding balance or any transaction. The reply from her is " Sir, i'll have to check with my superior and get back to you.
Me:" how long does it take?"
she: " i'm not very sure, but it will take at least 2~3 working days".
i was speechless.... she can't even answer a very basic question..

maybe mine is just isolated case, what about you guys?

Credit card call centre is doing a very bad job indeed recently. Don't really know what's their problem. 1 inquiry can take forever for them to solve it. By the way, you should be able to utilize 90% of your available credit.

HLB charged Retail Interest for paying my Statement Amount 1 day late ... so beware !!!!
Let's hope the waiver goes thru.... still need to pay full amount (+interest) to avoid more Retail Interest next month  mad.gif  vmad.gif
*
Retail interest was actually charged by the retailer. If it's a penalty for late charges, it is usually stated as late charges interest.

Another option is to go to the branch directly and tell them to activate your card.
