depends on your taste i guess, but personally, between the 555 and the SR60, i will take the SR60. keep in mind i own a pair of HD580s.
the Grados are more fun to listen to, for music. |

QUOTE(AlamakLor @ Mar 18 2006, 12:00 PM) and if u compare the ksc75...@ rm100, which i believe is...fair, both of them will east dust. it is only natural that the sr60 sound better but probably not enough to justify the extra RM180-190...i'd rather get 2 more ksc75 for with that money actually ksc75 is now cheaper, just RM89 in KLCC, although its still RM110 at All IT |

Hey guys, does an SR 60 require an amp to power it or can any DAP run it well enough?
For that matter, anyone wanan sell their Grados? And I've a question that I'm sure has been asked time and again, but I just need a simple answer (and my limited time for being online sort of limits me from doing a search..). PX100 vs SR 60. Which is more of an all rounder and which one is more for the bass head? And which is more portable actually? Thanks! And sorry if this question is repeated.. |

QUOTE(BratPAQ @ Mar 20 2006, 01:00 PM) laptops generally are pretty lousy, the built in sound card normally suxinstead of a hp amp, u might wanna consider an external sound card QUOTE(marquis @ Mar 20 2006, 01:18 PM) Hey guys, does an SR 60 require an amp to power it or can any DAP run it well enough? According to what i've read, the SR60 doesnt improve much with an amp. Still there's an improvement of courseFor that matter, anyone wanan sell their Grados? Even with the best matching amp the SR60 might not be "well enough" for some, so thats a matter of oppinion SR60 should win the PX100 in every aspect, think Alamaklor said this somewhere But the PX100 is very very bassy from my experience This post has been edited by KilJim: Mar 20 2006, 01:46 PM |

no brainer, the sr60 trounces the px100. there are a few ppl in head-fi who thinks the sr60 isn't THAT much better though. you can listen to them urself but when i switch from the sr60 to px100...the px100 sounded very very muffled.

"real" -proper- isolators starts off around USD$80 or so, with the Etymotics ER-6 and the Shure E2C. i have the E2C, they are quite fun, responds to EQ-ing rather well.
