erm... maybe high end headphone doesn't help this kind of songs.. normally people buy high end headphone/earphone/hifi/amp, they want to listen to more natural, soundstage, detail such as jazz, instrumental, vocal or so on, but maybe not suitable for rock / metal songs.. correct me if im wrong hehe.. try asking some forumer here what songs they are listening to.. audiophile..

well, since when "audiophile songs" exist in this world? Rock, pop, metal; they are still one of the music genres out there. In fact there are quite a number of Rock songs lovers that owns a Grado or a Beyer Dynamics headphone in Headfi.

One good example: The Eagle's Hotel California. Its a rock album BUT it is very highly rated among audiophiles.

I once believe that good headphones should be fed with "audiophile" music like those "Best of Audiophile I, II, III", or those albums labeled with "24bit/192kHz", "HDCD" etc. Man i was so wrong. The first few albums i bought were from Emi Fujita, and until now i still treasure those albums a lot. In fact recently i acquired those Best of Audiophile series in FLAC format, and they are nothing special. By the way in case you don't know, those Best of Audiophile series are actually local pressed, same as my Emi Fujitas! tongue.gif

Lai lai lai, see my collection and my latest fb2k config laugh.gif

Nowadays i just listen to whatever feels good to my ears, but my favorites are still classical tracks (which are 60% of my entire collection). Regardless of what sons you listen, there are always headphones tailored for your needs. Grado and Beyers are great for pop/rock and Sennheisers for classicals. I like all sorts of music genre except metal, and my AKG suits me damn well. I can wholeheartedly say, the AKG K701 is the best purchase i'd ever done.

download the .pui file, the required components, and the image folder, and some minor editing on the codes. smile.gif The album covers need to google up yourself though.
