Actually wanna ask something that which model will be better for sound quality, clarity and boom boom bass as i looking for a new speaker to replace my antique speaker

Can recommend me any decent speaker below the budget of Rm100?
2.0 speaker just fine for me.

okay, so im going to kl study end of this month. I gotta leave my 2.1 setup in my home (its 5 years old already, i think the name is sonicgear). im not a audiophile but i listen hip hop A LOT. I can't bring the setup to kl so im finding something around 1k.

So I come up with two option.

PORTABLE: Easier for me to move along, I can bring it to my girlfriend/friend house to play song or use it with my iPad and must be bluetooth. IF I move house also easier for me to bring. So I come up with BIG JAMBOX. The problem is will it really great even if I connect it with 3.5mm jack.

MONITOR SPEAKER: Obviously, sound is SO MUCH better than portable ones. But I can't share it with my girlfriend/friend. Just enjoy it myself. And also much more expensive. I'm eyeing on Audio Engine A5 but I will need more time to save money as it is more expensive.


Do note that all my stuff is portable and mostly Apple device. No desktop.

if yes you can use it for computer speaker oso

for the desktop speakers, you can give Aego M a try also. it is very good for a cheaper price
if you really eying on Audioengine A5 I won't stop you because the speaker is indeed real awesome but I just want you to upgrade slowly and not jump too high up

hello to all sound gurus..

Which speaker under RM300 gives good sound in music mostly ( sometimes instrumental, and sometimes bassy music ), and good in gaming as well (games like Battlefield 3)?

Ive been reading few pages back, is Edifier M3400SF really good? how about Altec Octane 7? its design is pretty awesome but heard bad reputations regarding Altec recently so Ive no idea which one to buy. Any clear recommendation based on my needs? Thanks..

I would say Edifier HCS2330 would do a better job

The Altec Octane 7 is okok only. for the price paid you can get something better

i wan to find a speaker for normal usage like movie ,game(dota mainly lol)...budget under rm100..erm..no need bufer or etc..only 2 main speaker will do..any recommendation bro?..

Music 50%
Movie 40%, occasional live sport streaming.
Games 10%, which mostly ps2, psp, wii emulator. psp especially have crappy quality audio.

I'm currently using some cheap sonic gear.

will an edifier R1600T plus be a good upgrade? I'm just worried crappy source like youtube will pierce my ears.

My sonic gear is great, as streaming live sports is bearable but the speaker is dying.

If you do not need lots of bass, then R1600T Plus is good. About piercing your ear, I think maybe will but you can lower down the treble volume to reduce it...

HCS2300 didn't really exist in the world to be honest... it's like only

the HCS2300 probably typo or concept. Not really a legit speaker
maybe it did came out to this world but the stock retreated or something I dunno.

Need some advice for two things as we are moving into a new apartment.

1. Computer speakers
- 2.0 or 2.1 will be fine
- budget maybe RM600 but up to 1k if worth it - for music, tv and games
- Room is about 3m by 3.5m

2. TV Speakers for living area
- 5.1 or a good 2.1 system (not sure if we want to bother running cables)
- movies, tv and music
- budget 1.5 - 3k, can go higher if worth it
- room is large, maybe 6m by 12m (sitting 3m away for movies and tv, all around for music)

We have not bought anything yet (no tv, no amp, nothing) so are open to all suggestions

Edit: Thinking of going to the KL International Audio Video Show tomorrow (Sunday), will this be worth it? Won't be moving in for another month or two, but can buy now
