Need some advice for two things as we are moving into a new apartment.

1. Computer speakers
- 2.0 or 2.1 will be fine
- budget maybe RM600 but up to 1k if worth it - for music, tv and games
- Room is about 3m by 3.5m

2. TV Speakers for living area
- 5.1 or a good 2.1 system (not sure if we want to bother running cables)
- movies, tv and music
- budget 1.5 - 3k, can go higher if worth it
- room is large, maybe 6m by 12m (sitting 3m away for movies and tv, all around for music)

We have not bought anything yet (no tv, no amp, nothing) so are open to all suggestions smile.gif

Thanks!

Edit: Thinking of going to the KL International Audio Video Show tomorrow (Sunday), will this be worth it? Won't be moving in for another month or two, but can buy now

I can't answer home theater but for computer Edifier S730D is like super awesome for a computer setup.

unless you stress your needs on purely music then Aego M is the best choice

Bro kevinlky,

Since your speaker still under warranty, you can send it to the shop you bought for warranty.
Sorry for the inconvenience cause.

when it comes to cheap speakers, edifier is your only choice lol.

there is no other 'worth buying speakers' that cost less than RM400

worse, the Sonic Gear Armageddon A5 may sound good for rm200 but it'll burn itself in a few months.

I bought it in Perlis and now I am in Johor already. So I think i would not go back there just for a warranty and i think i lose the receipt oredi... Anyway, can you intro some nice looking edifier speaker with strong bass and clear sound.

I'm thinking to upgrade from Edifier R1900TIII to M-Audio AV40. Isn't worth? I'm just listening mp3, flac and some movie.

Edifier M3400 is kinda standard but it supplies the bass you need

Edifier P3060 provides you the so called design (i find it ugly) but then since you need design as well I assume you might be interested with the subwoofer thumping~
you can think of it as a classic Sonic Gear tatoo 333 but with edifier branding and extra features.

the sonic gear earpump is famous for it's bass and that's all. there's no electronics to die in front of you so it lasts quite long wink.gif

I myself wish sonic gear is better because the design is very impressive but the power is just too cheap for a good looking speaker.
No hate on sonic gear but the woofer just wobbles and does nothing... there are more rattles than bass coming out of it.

You can give Eacan speakers a try like the A600II but I find the remote control weak and plastic.
Divoom is also a good looking design wise speaker but the woofer is like sonic gear... wobbly and does no bass power

good luck trying to find the VS4121 because it is discontinued already wink.gif

you might want to try finding 2nd hand ones.

unless you found 2nd hand Altec Lansing MX5021 then I'm happy for you cuz that one is just plain legend >.<

I visit the website of JAYACOM and the latest catalog still got VS4121 inside it. But I heard that some of the people say that the latest VS4121 will slowly become worse as time goes by because the quality not nice already. Is it true? And how much roughly is the Eacan A600IIg?

the Eacan I think is around RM350

not sure... didn't bother bout it.

the VS4121 had a few batches... I remember the Silver colored batch is the last one that sounded good.
The new black VS4121 with red led is the cut cost version but it still sound good for the price.

you sure the catalog is latest? It's probably old new stock. Get them while you can icon_rolleyes.gif

hai. i need some advice from sifu here.

i'm looking to upgrade my speaker system and currently using AL VS4121 BLK.

for now i can say that Edifier S330/S330D is pretty much in the radar.

what my concern is, i really like my current speaker as i'm not really listening to loud-house-shaking music. rarely go more than 50% of its volume.

so i'm thinking that, changing to new speaker system may not make much different, isn't? how about buying usb sound card since im using laptop (realtek HD audio)? would it make any good?

im using my speaker mostly for movies>music. rarely gaming. my budget max rm7xx.

thx!

Looking for great clarity in mid and high range. base doesn't need to be thumping, just presentable. Mostly will be on low volume. Wanna move on from a 2.1 system, as I always set the bass to mid low anyway.

I haven't got the time to test these speakers in their showroom but I narrowed down my choices to;

Edifier R1600T Plus. Main concern is, it might not fit my desk. Is it overkill for low volume playback?

Creative T20. Main concern is, it's more expensive than the R1600T.

Creative T10. If I'm feeling cheapskate.

If your VS4121 is still good then continue using it.
are you using standard built in soundcard? if yes then upgrade, if no then no need

S330D is same level with your VS4121 or below... so don't bother bout upgrading
