QUOTE(xget @ Apr 25 2011, 09:25 PM) how much total it cost? THX certified is mainly for wat? Speaker only cost around RM490, plus digital input cable either you choose RCA or Optical, cost vary from RM10 to 50 depending on what quality you getting. THX certified is just a fun tag....to have good movie sounding. Most with that certified has house shaking woofer.... This post has been edited by Cosef: Apr 25 2011, 09:33 PM

QUOTE(zhihao4456 @ May 26 2011, 06:39 PM) Is there any difference in the bass or sound quality for the VS4121 silver or black? I think i will try my best to get Altec VS4621... and btw what you get if the higher RMS for power output? Should be the same, just the casing different colour. Higher power output you'll get louder sound, sound quality cannot define with higher power output.

QUOTE(zhihao4456 @ May 27 2011, 12:06 PM) I guess my alternate choice now is Edifier M3400 suggested by power911... Just to be sure is Edifier M3400 is better than M1335 in terms of bass and sound quality? yes...but if you want a better try get HCS2330. M3300/M3300SF is a no no for a bass head. Remember to audit at few shops before you made your decision.

QUOTE(zhihao4456 @ May 27 2011, 12:57 PM) power911 said that HCS2330 the bass is not as good as M3400... Is it true? And what do you mean by audit? Sorry for a noob question >< I'm not so sure on bass, but sound quality definitely better due to better amp. audit means listen

QUOTE(power911 @ May 27 2011, 03:12 PM) mm... hard to explain... messy bass like got echo effect (shopping mall PA speaker bass) clean bass would be something like Headphone Bass like sometimes one beat on messy bass the beat will sound more boooom type while clean ones sounded tight bups (more accurate) just an example tho, you gotta listen to the real thing to understand sometimes a little help for you... messy bass = bloom bloom sound...... clean bass = doom doom sound....

You can consider Edifier M1360 if clarity as priority and no house pumping power.
ALL IT can find at RM89. Real impressive performance for such a price.

QUOTE(mushashi87 @ Jun 22 2011, 10:27 PM) M1360 & M1380 which one is recommended? M1360 as i know here beats other speaker at price range RM89, the only speaker sound quality attracts me at this price range. Of course M1380 is better, coz it is more powerful, better sound quality, some might not like it coz it has more mids compare to M1360.

QUOTE(bara bara api @ Jul 25 2011, 02:03 PM) Okay thanks. How about a portable speaker wan? Preferably, Edifier's portable. is there anything that fits my taste? Edifier: MP300 MP210 M20 They sound so good for that small speaker already and remember it is not possible for small speaker to have house pumping bass.

QUOTE(nismo91 @ Aug 9 2011, 02:23 AM) not really.. cause some player such as PS3, X360, Bluray player, only support audio out through HDMI or optical. so if no optical port no surround sound... Hmm....that is a headache thing.... If getting a optical to coaxial converter then use a input selector to do the job might help, just afraid that converter will introduce huge jitter. QUOTE(Fman @ Sep 4 2011, 03:11 AM) which one is better: Edifier M1380 - RMS 28W Logitech Z323 - RMS 30W Logitech Z313 - RMS 25W Altec Lansing VS2621 - RMS 28W purpose for movies, trance, dubstep. Edifier M1380 or Altec Lansing VS2621 For me I'll take M1380. I don't really like that 2 Logitech speaker sounds that you mentioned. Audit yourself before deciding it...

QUOTE(am3 @ Feb 28 2012, 02:18 PM) for private use, quality is important for me. but for the usage in classroom, i would need the sound to be reasonably clear, and loud enough so that those in the back of the classroom can hear the spoken word clearly. something that is loud enough, i could use a normal cd/radio hifi player but it's heavier and more cumbersome. also can i find track that i need quickly as there would be many, many short tracks thta i have to choose which one to play. however if tere is no fast way to go search for desired track i could just use my mp3 player with the speaker. Mind to take a look at MP300 Plus? Last time when I was in secondary school my teacher used MP300 and a laptop to show a video clip, It was loud and clear enough for a class with 50 students. That speaker is quite portable but you need a plug for power supply.
