action movie needs the Z623 thumps smile.gif

I think it should be good to eye on the logitech. Just keep your ATP3 safe for future use because the ATP3 is one legendary speaker

power911: Thanks for ur advise! I brought the ATP3 during my university time. Use until now, the sub woofer cable connection behind a bit loose alrdy. But overrall the sound still superb. I still using it to play Dota and NFS game. Just wan to buy one more speaker for watching movie purpose. I heard lot of forumer recommended C5. Do u have any ideal to compare C5 with Z623? How much is the cheapest price in market now for both of this 2 model? Sorry for asking so many question....just ignore me if u lazy to answer me...haha....noob question indeed.

the Z623 is around RM550-600 if you are in harvey norman

the C3 is RM799 which is so close to the mighty Edifier S530D which is RM820 or the Corsair SP2500 which is around the same price of S530D
So it is always not recommended to buy since C5 is just Edifier C3 with extra add-ons only.

The C3/C5 is mild in bass when it comes to action movies
but as for us casual listeners, the bass is just right
but for the ones who loves boomy hard hitting bass then this C3/C5 will fail

however The C5 will have better sound quality over Logitech Z623

I have no idea why but I find logitech is just good in their subwoofers but their satellites are just standard

if you get a chance to listen to them you will find logitech is so boomy and awesome but sounded plastic while C5 is standard but the quality of the butter is there

Thanks for ur reply. But i notice that Z623 spec 200W(RMS + THX certified) of power, C5 only 53W(RMS). Is this watt playing a important rules in speaker? high watt mean better or low watt better?

by paper it's a yes

but in real life it's a no.

watt is just how much the amp can deliver the power

but if the speaker is hungry for more power, that ends up having a normal sounding speaker.

it's about balance so having huge watts doesn't mean good power. It's about driving the speaker efficiently smile.gif

it's like you need a stronger engine to drive a heavy car. the same concept

oh btw Logitech always exaggerated their watt ratings so I'm not sure if I can trust their specs haha

Oic. Thanks for ur explanation! Now i have more clear in the speaker. Just check C5 price RM645 and Z623 RM450 only. C5 is out of my budget edi, i think i will go for Z623 then.....haha...
