Anyone tried Himedia Q10 pro with directv now? Can stream with 4K and dolby digital audio?

Is netflix and youtube work in HD or 4K for this device?

Hmm... u hv memory loss?
This from 2 weeks ago, already explained...

Now giving me headache as Netflix from this box don't support 1080 / 4K or even HDR or Dolby vision.
*
Youtube 1080p can get with right version.
4k, no.

Directv as in usa iptv service?
Like hulu, amazon iptv... these are only for usa n certain countries.
Some people say can use special vpn/dns/proxy, special payment methods.
U can ask around, probably geting harder and harder as these providers start blocking.
Even u get, doubt it is 4k or dd.

Netflix is the only one has biz for malaysia.
To get in 4k, hdr, dolby vision, dd, use yr tv.
U paid a lot for the tv, why dunwan to use... rolleyes.gif
U been told already!

Dont know what the both different just the layout as compare to TV is different too.

Just got directv trial version and smartdns. Will give a try and update you guys.

U still havent explained why u refuse to use netflix on yr tv which will be 4k, hdr, dolby vision, dd 5.1 audio.

I m sorry 4 u since u bought a good tv, a good avr n a good box but somehow failed to put them to good use.

Honestly, from what u posted and how u phrase yr questions, i think u r wasting money.

i tried to help but i feel i m not getting anywhere, exasperated.

I will not respond anymore.

Bruh... If you have a truly smart TV, then you are supposed to use the Netflix app on it instead.. If supported, you'll get;
*Easier launch
*Easier navigation
*As AVFAN pointed out... 1080p (minimum) or 4k, hdr, dolby vision, dd 5.1 audio...

P.S. I'm assuming you have a recently produced & decent 4K TV and or HD audio system.

Netflix, amazon prime, youtube 4k all works perfectly on tv smart function. You dont need q10pro to play it. Q10pro will playback those 4k hdr movies you download online perfectly.

Cancel Netflix because not much newer or latest big title movies after 1 month free trial.

4K, HDR and Dolby vision which mostly available for Netflix original only. Whereby not much drama for me. I'm not boycot the app but just try getting something which suit me the most. I can still renew back anytime if I want t right?

Yet I still enjoy the media box with AVCHD, MKV and some kodi source or streaming apk. Also I got myself uhd player and order few UHD movies and blu ray from Amazon.

Yes both of you are right I'm new in 4K TV and home theatre system somehow I trying to learn, gather information and discussion (believe lowyat forum is a place for this). I'm not here to start a forum war or something but if u unhappy to reply my noob question of coz you free to scroll down and ignore my sentence.

Anyhow cheers guys, sharing is caring.

Nah.. It's still free. Just that they have switched from the auto-detect and maintain model to a register and apply TM promo model. So when you register, their system will detect and credit the promo period to the account. You can then use said account to log onto various devices.

I have traveled that road before. Got some not so nice remarks. More on difference in views than my newbie knowledge on the subject.

OK to ask as long as one has done some basic home work in this thread or google.

Enjoy your streaming hobby!

a quick reminder to q5pro/q10pro users.

the native player has auto frame switching feature.

i.e. it will auto play according to the file or stream fps (frames per sec) which may be 23.976, 24, 25, 30, 29.97, 50, 60 Hz.

correct fps ensures no micro stuttering, judders or "jerking".

u enable it using the remote - playback a file, do menu/advanced options/24p - open it.

once set, each time there is a fps change, u see the switch displayed on the tv, takes 1-2 secs.

if u do not enable it, it will just stay at what u set at settings/display.

for 4k tv, if u do not enable it, every time u use an app, it will go to 1080i rather than stay at (set) 2160p tv upscaling.
*
Morning bro, i'm using q10 pro. Are you saying that I should enable the 24p option to get much better PQ? All this while I know the option exist in the Menu but i don't dare to touch it coz I'm not sure what the effect will be. Thanks

this 24p option is to enable auto switching.
best to OPEN it.
if u do not open it, the playback will not be smooth when files of diff fps (hz) are played.
if this is done, any file u playback, the player will adjust to the right fps.
u can see the change on the tv if there is a change, say from 24 to 30hz.

u can set the default at settings to anything, e.g. 2160p 60hz (for 4k tv), or 1080p 30hz.
that will be default.
when the 24p setting is enabled, it will auto adjust to the right fps (hz) of the file played back..

Using Q5 Pro here. Upgraded to Kodi 17.3 recently. Still working fine for me, including Exodus.

Suggest to uninstall Exodus and then reinstall it.

Other apps working fine?
