what is TS?
*** TS = Transport Stream one of the many video formats. Google and see.
66gb... is that a uhd4k 2160p video? as in 3840 x 2160?
*** 1920 * 1080 at 25 frames /s
if yr tv OR avr is not 4k, u will not get video. no downgrading.
*** TV is only HD, bought some 6 yrs ago. I have tried some sound and video test programs from Kodi, eg #6 as highlighted below. I can play it in my Q5 Pro and HD TV though it is 10 bit color and UHD file. My old TV does not have 10 bits color or UHD features and yet I can play it. Think there is an automatic downgrade to what the TV can handle.
Don't tell me my TV I bought 6 years is 10 bits color and UHD which I am not aware of! Ha. 10 bits and UHD were in their research/development phase then.
what is AOK?
*** AOK = OK = fine = all right
That is, I can play the #6 UHD TS file.
newer PCs/monitors can take 1440p, i.e. 2560x1440.
*** My PC monitor is about 12 yrs old now and still can play the 66 GB TS file using VLC on my PC. Think there is also an automatic quality downgrade to suit the monitor.
that other TS file on kodi in the same box, same tv, it works - does it work when playing with q5pro native player?
what resolution is it?
*** Maybe what I said earlier is confusing.
Can play #6 TS file above (0.6 GB)
Cannot play the other big TS file (66GB). Have tried the Kodi default player & DVD player (with sound but no picture). Using VLC apps, got picture and sound but breaking. Not watchable.
